VP – Business Intelligence Data Environment

Job Description

Chase Commerce Solutions (also known as Chase Paymentech), a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase, is a global leader in payment processing and the largest wholly-owned merchant acquirer in the United States. Chase Commerce Solutions serves some of the most well-known brands in the world, ranging from retail, e-commerce, restaurant, lodging and contractor/service provider to digital content and government agencies.
 
The VP of Data Environment would be the business lead working towards a target state data strategy and architecture for Commerce Solutions to help drive generation of better insights through our data initially for employees and in the future, for merchant clients externally. The job entails creating a business case for investing in the data architecture, successfully selling the business case to the leadership team to help kick start the investment and ultimately partnering with IT and other stakeholders across the business and staff teams to develop the new architecture. The new data environment would help facilitate more insightful and faster analyses to help Commerce Solutions have greater visibility into merchant relationships and to help deliver deeper insights to merchant partners. This role would offer an opportunity to partner with senior Technology and business stakeholders across Commerce Solutions and Consumer & Community Banking. The role would also allow the opportunity to engage with some of the largest merchant clients to understand their business intelligence challenges.
The requirements for this role are as follows:
  • 5+ years experience working in data environment / architecture / strategy roles
  • Experience in data architecture transformation projects within / outside of Chase would be a plus, as would Chase card / Retail Banking data strategy experience
  • Understanding and experience with Chase controls processes would be a big plus too
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data mining and analysis in retail, direct marketing, or other consumer-oriented business with large customer databases
  • 5+ years experience in the payments industry
  • Superior attention to details and process / project management skills
  • Strong influencing skills in working with internal as well as external individuals and organizations
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders
  • Strong analytical skills
