Chief Investment Office & Treasury - North America Finance - Associate

Job Description

The objective of the Chief Investment Office (CIO) is to manage the Firm's structural risk through involvement in various market sectors and currencies.  Structural risks managed by the CIO include structural interest rate and foreign exchange risk.  Products utilized include fixed income securities, interest rate swaps, and credit related products.


Treasury is a critical function within Corporate Financial Management responsible for managing the firm's liquidity and capital positions, establishing funds transfer pricing policy, analyzing the firm's lines of business and consolidated earnings at risk (interest rate risk), executing the firm's securitization program, as well as the share repurchase program, and managing the firm's relationships with rating agencies and fixed income investors.


Role Description


The candidate will play a dynamic role across various functional teams within North America Finance.  The role will require the candidate to work closely with senior management within Finance, Front Office, Global Controller Team, and Technology.


Responsibilities include the following key functions:


  • Investment securities balance sheet and net interest income forecasting

  • Long term and short term debt net interest expense forecasting

  • Daily PnL reporting

  • Finance automation project implementation

  • Fund Transfer Pricing analytics

  • Month end close

  • Understanding and experience in financial accounting and regulatory reporting

  • Understanding of mortgage, asset back securities, and interest rate swaps

  • Highly skilled at problem solving, with a logical and tenacious approach

  • Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude

  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Access

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills as considerable flexibility is required for the role
