Risk Reporting, Projects & Middle Office (RRPMO) is based in New York and partners with executive management across business lines to manage Market, Country, Principal, Wholesale Credit and Model risk.
 
The team is looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager to join the Risk Project Services Team to drive change across the risk organization through improving operational efficiency and effectiveness, technology enhancements and organization structure to support executive decision making and regulatory mandates. The role is highly visible to senior management and offers the opportunity to work across all JPMorganChase’s business lines.
A Senior Associate in this role will help plan and execute solutions that impact the business and deliver results though implementing risk and financial management strategy. The role will also require building operating model capabilities, building strong relationships within and outside the Firmwide Risk Reporting Organization. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneur thinker, team player, results driven and self-managing with strong attention to detail.
Required capabilities:
  • Experience in project management or business analyst work including familiarity with the documentation required for a standard project life cycle including detailed project plans, documenting scope and business requirements, detailing issues & problems; drafting business and technical data flows
  • Strong critical and creative thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex data sets to develop business insights, fact base analysis and hypotheses to help solve complex problems.
  • Data analysis – including the collection of data from various sources, synthesizing the information, performing analysis, interpreting results and making recommendations
  • Define user acceptance test plans and test cases.  Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing. Responsible for understanding results and providing sufficient information to senior management to enable signoff on a deliverable
  • Facilitate project meetings and create materials to be used for presentation at working group and senior management meetings
  • Partner with Technology Project Manager to guide project team and ensure all business deliverables and tasks are completed
  • Present recommendations in a business-friendly way that identifies any issues, details business/client impact, and builds a business case and consensus for implementation
  • Experience working with and influencing senior management to drive strategic decisions through conducting complex analysis, developing concise recommendations and preparing and delivering well designed presentations a plus
To successfully perform these functions, the following skills are critical. 
  • 5+ years experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst, executing projects within the financial services industry
  • Bachelors degree required;  experience in  risk, finance and regulatory  a plus
  • Strong familiarity with project management and analysis software, such as Excel, Access, MS Project, Visio, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to perform in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, and delivery-focused individual who is able to work independently
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
