Position Overview


The Digital UAT Lead is a key member of the Digital Product team and is responsible for end-to-end UAT testing responsibilities related to Emerging Payments projects and initiatives. This versatile team player is independently responsible for the UAT workstream, playing a collaborative role across functional teams. As a diverse contributor to the Product team, the individual will support the Emerging Payments Product team in a testing capacity throughout the product development lifecycle.


Responsibilities include:

  • Expertise in planning, constructing, and executing test script
  • Apply business and functional knowledge , such as testing standards, guidelines and methodology, to meet overall objectives
  • Log, track, report and follow-ups on defects, program Change Controls & work order requests
  • Maintain items on the Program backlog for future releases
  • Create strategy for cross-Lines Of Business (LOB) engagement and a framework for on-going evaluation and audits

Position Responsibilities & Activities

 

The individual will be required to:

  • Coordinate with release management team on test cycle schedule and testing readiness
  • Review test requirements, develop test plans and test cases for each phase of the project
  • Develop and communicate testing approach and present plans to stakeholders
  • Write and execute test scripts for user acceptance and regression testing based on functional specifications and business requirements
  • Document and validate test results and ensure the test requirements are met
  • Identify project gaps, risks and defects and develop mitigation plans and workarounds as necessary
  • Coordinate with Technology and Operations partners to resolve defects to ensure proper implementation
  • Update and maintain inventory of test scripts developed for each project release and regression testing to ensure alignment with the current system functionality
  • Partner with Technology to develop automated tests
  • Build and manage a team of testers within his/her LOB or function and provide reporting to testing program and Product management
  • Work with other testing teams across functions/lines of business (LOBs) and coordinate testing efforts
  •  Work closely with Product, Project Management and Program Management teams to support all initiatives that have a testing component (e.g., soft launch, merchant testing environments, testing with external partners, etc.)
  • Work with Product, Developers and Business Analysts to understand the specific needs of the project/product for testing
  • Review testing artifacts developed by QA team and provide feedback
  • Escalate issues and risks to management as required
  • Oversee defect management (prioritize and report defects accurately), including tracking, reporting, and resolution
  • Perform ad hoc testing, as necessary

Skills required (essential)

 

Candidates must have:

  • 4+ years professional experience at a large financial institution
  • 4+ years experience with UAT and regression test case design and test execution
  •  6+ years related work experience overall
  • Deep knowledge of testing life cycle, with experience managing testing teams
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and execute tasks within tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skill
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues
  • The ability to facilitate meetings among stakeholders with diverse points of view

 

Skills desired

  • Knowledge of/experience in Client Onboarding, AML and KYC preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Excel and ALM strongly preferred
  • Strong communicator and team leader; self-motivated team player
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Knowledge of software methodologies (e.g., waterfall, iterative and agile) and how it drives design approaches and techniques
  • Ability to prioritize needs of the business and project to make effective, timely decisions and tradeoffs
  • Ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire information
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with the skills to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in helping build digital commerce products and driving a delightful consumer experience
  • Knowledge and experience working in retail banking, payments, e/m-commerce, online and mobile platforms is a plus
