Job Description:
JPMC Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) Banking Technology team is seeking a quality conscious, technical, analytical person, to function as a technical support analyst in the Production Management organization.  The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to and resolving production incidents across the banking technology products. The candidate will work with development, project management, product management, business project directors, QA, client implementation, audit, IT Risk, Client Tech Support Staff, and other support groups for both Production and test environments.
This position will be located in Charlotte, NC and will be supporting a facility that processes payments for a Government contract.  This role will require the candidate to gain and maintain a 5 year federal background clearance.  The candidate will be responsible for all local infrastructure and supporting the line of business through peak processing seasons.  The Support Analyst will be expected to assist in resolving incidents in a timely manner through effective root cause analysis and solution identification. The candidate will see incidents to resolution; escalating as necessary while following guidelines and support procedures.  The candidate will develop a level of expertise on the assigned applications as well as the associated physical\logical infrastructures.  The individual will collaborate on an ongoing basis with other production support analysts and developers.  They will be engaged in analysis, design, testing, debugging, and implementation of enhancements to existing systems. Client, internal partner, external partner and vendor engagement may be required.  The support personnel will be responsible for assisting in both internal\external audit engagements and maintaining audit compliance at the local site.  Compliance standards and requirements will include SSAE16, SOX, NIST 800-53 rev4 and internal controls established by the organization. 
  • INCIDENT MANAGEMENT- Mitigate, facilitate, coordinate, escalate, and document impacting incidents. Determination of root cause, implement action plans to prevent reoccurrence.  This will include clear documentation that vendors and development teams can leverage for long term solutions.  Complete assigned action items within prescribed timelines.  Prioritize issues and projects to ensure all SLAs are met.  Provide feedback/updates to all stakeholders in a timely manner.  Identify reoccurring issues, and through process improvement mitigate and reduce the number of incidents, maintain and produce status reports on incidents.
  • MONITORING AND AUTOMATION – The candidate will be accountable for monitoring the application environment.  This will include monitoring the local infrastructure hygiene and proactively taking action to reduce the risk of production impacts.  This could include scripted applications, automated jobs\tasks, CRAC units, file transfers and critical process redundancy
  • ADUIT and PROJECT SUPPORT- Actively engage in assigned projects to ensure timely completion without incident or customer impact.  Supporting audit engagements as required.  This can include pulling required evidence and assisting with data interpretations.   
  • This position is part of a 24x7x365 organization, it involves on call rotation covering the full week.  An IRS clearance is required.  The background check can take up to 3 – 4 months to clear

  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or Equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years technical experience in Web based technology environments and related dependencies between platforms, database, and application levels. (UNIX, SQL, WINDOWS, are plus)
  • Experience in the support of real time transaction processing applications
  • Experience in Solaris, lynx, korn shell, Perl, JAVA (core and frameworks) , C/C++ is a plus
  • Experience in Oracle, and SQL server databases is a plus
  • Knowledge of windows server, active directory, group policy, OS
  • Working knowledge of application development
  • Experience in enterprise incident management practices, monitoring and performance tools.
  • Ability to quickly receive and process information, make appropriate risk based decisions.
  • Effective issue management skills, problem identification, root cause analysis, and solution recommendation.
  • Strong global team member, interaction with staff and clients to achieve business goals.
  • Intense personal commitment to mission, values, and goals of the organization.
