Position Summary
 
The Capital Markets Operations organization supports Mortgage Banking by delivering quality and timely pools to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginne Mae.  
 
The Business Analyst serves as the conduit between investor requirements and operations through which system requirements, updates and modifications are documented and implemented.  Successful candidates must have detailed knowledge of investor requirements, mortgage processes, process reengineering, technology and related services sufficient to author requirements, mitigate issues and deliver relevant training.

  • Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)
 
  • End-to-end Agency data and process subject matter expert and leader
  • Identification of process flaws and recommend business process automation to enhance productivity including implementation of operational and technical changes
  • Responsible for the gathering of requirements, completing business analysis including relevancy, usage and impact
  • Lead and implement special project initiatives in a cross functional team environment
  • Facilitates clear and timely communication between all stakeholders
  • Develop and implement training to support operational users and partner teams
  • Provide operational and systems issues management and troubleshooting for loan delivery operations
 
 
 

 

 

Knowledge and Experience
  • 8 years mortgage banking experience preferred
  • 4 years experience writing business requirements, functional specifications and/or user stories in mortgage banking business
  • 4 years process reengineering with demonstrated, measureable results
  • 4 years experience in information analytics
  • 4 years experience in data management utilizing Toad and Oracle/PL SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong MS Office Excel skills utilizing large, dynamic data sets
  • Strong MS Office PowerPoint skills in creating management presentations and data messaging
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable experience
  • Must be willing to work after hours and weekends as necessary

  • End-to-end Agency subject matter expertise
  • Highly motivated, team player, self starter and able to work independently
  • Ability to lead on own initiative influence and direct activities of resources outside of direct control
  • Keen analytical problem -solving decision-making abilities
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Additional experience with origination systems and MSP servicing system preferred
  • Knowledge of the technical infrastructure that supports the business
