The role sought is for an Application developer at the Columbus, Ohio- US location. The individual will need to be very flexible and be able to react quickly to changing business needs.
As a developer you will work in application design and development. Facilitate development, support to the QA team and peer/code reviews, incorporate security requirements into design/development, and provide input to information/data flow. Comply with project life cycle methodology and adhere to IT control policies and guidelines. Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications.
- Identify applicable system platform, components, dependencies, document application specifications.
- Provide support to critical systems and applications with upgrades, risk and other issue.
- Work with other teams to trouble shoot issues and work cross team to resolve incidents.
- The individual will need to be very flexible with ability to react quickly to changing business needs.

Core Skills

- Hands on Experience in J2SE, J2EE, Tomcat, XML, XSL and related technologies


- Good knowledge in UNIX/Shell scripting and Linux


- Good RDBMS concepts; PL/SQL knowledge, ORM, Oracle exposure


- Experience with Eclipse, Ant, Test Automation experience required


- Drive timely and quality resolution of Incidents, Problems and Change Requests for Java based Integration Platform


- Take ownership of business-critical and complex applications and respond timely manner


- Support implementation of the application including release and deployment in UAT / Production environment


- Identify technical improvements, Process Improvements, innovative solutions and suggest


- Knowledge of enterprise SDLC standard process


- Should be able to translate business requirements to detail technical design and implementation


- Code Reviews (FishEye/Crucible), PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management


- Web services (WSDL or WADL), concepts and implementation

  • Minimum five year of Application Developement work experience
  • Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
  • Minimum of five year of work experience in a client server environment
  • Solid experience in Java programming and design techniques
  • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
