As part of this organization, Corporate Risk and Finance Technology provides functional support to the CCB Chief Finance Officer and Chief Risk Officer organizations. The group owns the holistic technology relationships with these organizations ensuring that technology needs are met whether these are sourced from line of business (LOB) technology teams, developed internally by dedicated teams, or solutioned in the corporate domain. The RQD (Risk Quantitative Development) IT Organization has responsibility for the implementation and support of infrastructure platforms and software services for CCB Risk and Finance regulatory activities including CCAR, as well as the many modeling and analytics programs throughout CCB.  We maintain a number of Analytical and Business Intelligence environments including several technology platforms running SAS, along with the support of many server and desktop SAS products.  The RQD IT Organization consists of technical analysts, system administrators, SAS administrators, and software engineers

The candidate will be part of the RFT (Risk and Finance Technology) SAS strategic team that drives target architecture design and implementation of the highly performing analytical and reporting platform.

Responsibilities include:

·       Lead the  ETL design Collaborate with Business Architects in the development and execution of requirement, architecture and design

·       Design, develop, unit test and deploy Ab Initio components and miscellaneous technical components

·       Ensure Ab Initio codes base is appropriately engineered to maintain current functionality and development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance with client IT governance policies

·       Contributes to the technical design documents, Use Cases, test cases and User Manuals for various projects. Conducts bug fixing, code reviews, and unit, functional and integration testing.

·       Conducts data warehousing dimensional design patterns and fundamentals and demonstrates experience in leveraging various Ab Initio components to develop complex batch and continuous graphs.

·       Interfaces with L1 & L2 support teams to define operational processes and procedures.

·       Acts as liaison to clients on highly technical and complex requests and serves as a technical advisor to other junior team members. Provide input, support and review estimates.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess solid understanding of data warehousing dimensional design patterns and fundamentals and has to demonstrate experience in leveraging various Ab Initio components to develop complex batch and continuous graphs
  • 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using Ab Initio is required, tool set includes: ExpressIT, BRE, DQE, Continuous flow, ConductIT, Metadata Hub and EME etc.
  • Expertise in Unix and SQL is required
  • Experience in  project and team management is required
  • Working knowledge of operational infrastructure details (e.g. SAN, networks, Veritas clustering, automation scheduling (e.g. Tidal), etc)
  • Business knowledge in Financial products and Regulatory reporting is a must
  • Understanding of Big Data concepts – experience with Hadoop considered a plus
  • Experience in C++/Unit scripting considered a plus
