Job Description

Department Description

 

The JPMorgan Private Bank NY Client Center is a meeting facility for bankers to welcome JPMorgan Private Bank's clients in a private yet sophisticated environment. Our role is to welcome our guests, manage staff and facilities and maintain and reflect the JPMorgan "first-class-experience". At the New York Client Center, we have 21 meeting rooms accommodating anywhere between 2 and 24 people. 

 

Position Description 
  
  • Intern will work 15 – 20 hours per week with flexibility
  • Internship is part of our mentor program; will have opportunities to work with marketing, global events and global communications teams on various projects
  • Enthusiastic, positive “can-do” demeanor and professionalism
  • Learn and co-manage the reservation books via Event Management System
  • Learn and follow JP Morgan Client Center protocols for all client meetings (meet and greet, security protocols, client management)
  • Efficiency reports, maintaining staff schedules, creating menu updates, creating end of day setup reports
  • Survey client experience, analyze data and propose solutions based on feedback
  • Take reservations via e-mail and telephone and provide customer service to all users (senior executives and their assistants)
  • Participate in planning events for senior management and clients
  • Join in weekly chef’s tastings and assist with menu creation for events
  • Follow hospitality guidelines when anticipating clients’ needs
  • Work with manager on various projects throughout the year
Candidate must be currently enrolled in college. 
  
  • Major in hospitality or strong interest in hospitality field
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Self-starter, extremely organized and detailed-oriented with strong commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
  • Good judgment and problem solving skills
  • Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
  • General comfort level with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software.
