Job Description

Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is a leading asset manager for institutions, individuals and financial intermediaries, worldwide.  Our investment professionals are located around the world providing strategies that span the full spectrum of asset classes including equity, fixed income, cash liquidity, currency, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds and private equity.

 

Global Portfolio Implementation (GPI) provides portfolio implementation services for discretionary accounts both internally and at third party institutions focusing on rebalancing and risk management activities.  The team supports products from both Global Wealth and Global Investment Management.

 

The GPI Transformation and Technology Team is responsible for scoping and driving process improvement, organizational change and functional strategy projects.  The group runs both major strategic change programs across businesses and more discrete high-impact programs within specific areas.  The objectives of the group are to:

  • Work across functional organizations to identify synergies

  • Drive performance improvement through improved end-to-end process design and management

  • Ensure that the organization is structured optimally to deliver efficient and effective solutions to business partners and customers

  • Promote more effective use of existing tools and processes

  • Assess process risks, recommend and partner to implement solutions

  • Define automation approaches to enhance current capabilities and improve controls

  • Identify and support the development of new capabilities

  • Identify / develop metrics to best manage the organization

The team is currently seeking a Vice President level Project Manager to drive implementation of key improvement projects and other initiatives.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years process improvement / project management experience, including:

ExExperience and understanding of project lifecycle and project management disciplines

  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and approaches

  • Experience driving process change and efficiencies in a growing business - strong focus on execution and delivery against objectives

  • Strong analytical/writing skills, ability to quickly analyze information and creatively reach solutions

  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability as a self-starter, detail-oriented, well organized, strong decision-making skills and able to multi-task effectively

  • Ability to function productively in a fast paced changing environment

  • Ability to conceptualize and quickly understand new processes

  • Strong experience producing related documentation including status reports, detailed schedules (MS Project), polished presentations (PowerPoint), risk lists, action items and meeting minutes 

  • Problem-Solving Skills:  research, gather, arrange, compile, summarize and evaluate data in recommending solutions

  • Proficient with Microsoft products including Project, Visio, Excel and Word

  • Experience with Lean and / or Six Sigma is a plus
