Risk & Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial

Quality Assurance Associate

Within Risk & Finance Technology, the QA Associate will be part of the Data Acquisition & Hosting's Data Sourcing function, supporting end-to-end planning and testing of projects related to the Finance & Risk Warehouse.



The QA Associate will be part of the Quality Assurance team located in the U.S. and offshore locations, and will be responsible for creating and executing test plans and test cases for Finance and Risk Data Warehouse.  The individual will be expected to:  

  •  Understand various testing processes and terminologies
  • Provide input to the estimation process of the estimates for the testing efforts

  • Develop Application Level Understanding for the applications that are assigned to him for testing 

  • Engage in Analysis and Review of Functional Requirements and Design Specifications.

  • Create Test Approach and Test plans for ETL testing

  • Create a test data creation and management strategy for the source systems

  • Review and create manual/automated l test scripts for testing the application across different testing cycles

  • Execution and Maintenance of Manual/Automation test scripts so that they are reused across multiple projects

  • Test Data Management using Quality Center

  • Designing and Creation of metrics to track efficiency and productivity

  • Communicate efficiently with the offshore team (verbal and written)

  • Ability to work as part of the QA team and share knowledge and experience

  • Ability to work with developers, business analysts, project managers and business users on a project by project basis

  • Contribute in QA and test process enhancement initiatives

  •  5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance Experience exposure to Manual Functional Testing
  • Exposure to Test/Defects Management using ALM
  • Ability to write complex queries using SQL Knowledge of UNIX commands and scripting Knowledge of QA processes including understanding requirement and test case development.
  • Excellent communication and co-ordination skills to work with different teams (onsite & offshore).
  • Flexibility to work on different projects and support both manual and automation testing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects and releases at the same time.
  • Ability to work with test automation tools such as QTP is a plus
  • Exposure to test automation using VB, C sharp, Excel Macros , iTKO Lisa is a plus
  • ETL testing experience required
  • Large enterprise database exposure a plus
