Commerce Solutions (CSo) is a line of business with Community & Consumer Banking that provides payment and acquiring services, such as Chase Pay and ChaseNet to our merchant customers.  This role is part of the Business Engineering function within CSo.  Business Engineering includes functions that support Demand Management, Reporting, Program Management, Business Readiness, Business Testing and Process Engineering. 
CSo is seeking a business analyst to support our Reporting functions along with providing support for the tools utilized within Business Engineering.  The candidate will work with Business Engineering management to design and construct reporting that will help drive strategic decisions.  The candidate will also provide support for tools used within CSo including SharePoint, Clarity PPM, Project Pipeline Line (PPL), and others.
Job Description:
The Applications Support Analyst role is responsible for providing high quality support for technology solutions that are critical to satisfying business needs within mature and complex technology environments.
  • Provide ongoing support of applications and systems at agreed service levels.
  • Participate in the Incident Management and Problem Management processes as a resolver accountable for root cause analysis, resolution and reporting.
  • Implement monitoring of the production environment and take corrective actions as required
  • Track incidents by using a global call logging system (Service Center), and ensure these incidents are resolved in a timely fashion. Perform trending on ticket volumes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to automation of common support functions to improve resiliency of the production environments and efficiency of the Production Support teams
  • Coordinate production platform upgrades with the Development and Infrastructure teams
  • Work with the Application development teams to deploy software releases in the Production and DR environments.
  • Understand disaster recovery environments and contribute to annual DR exercises 
  • Maintain knowledge base of known defects and issues, process and techniques, etc
  • Analyze infrastructure and application trends in effort to manage capacity demands
  • Review controls for audit compliance and correct gaps
  • Ensure that all production changes are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that products and changes are fully documented, supportable and captured Interface with internal and external business and technical partners.
  • Minimum 3+ years PowerMart Informatica skills 
  • Minimum 3+ years Oracle SQL development skills 
  • Minimum 3+ years technical research and analytics skills to interpret large data
  • Minimum 3+ years in an Application support focused role
  • Minimum 1+ years Excel skills
Preferred Skills:
  • 3-5 years of hand on experience in Oracle, Java, SharePoint, Linux, Windows, Citrix, WebLogic, Actuate, PowerMart
  • Experience in PowerMart/Supporting ETL processes that read from and writes to different databases desired.
  • Experience with high volume processing environments.
  • Experience in using SFTP, FTP, NDM processes and writing shell scripts.
  • Experience with Control-M scheduling tool.
  • Strong database skills and understanding of SQL programming
  • 3-5 years of experience providing application support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills required, both with vendor and "home grown"
