Sr. Business Analyst – CRM & Sales Innovation
The CRM & Sales Innovation business analyst will join one of the central information management teams within the Commercial Bank (CB), focusing on customer relationship management platforms (CRM) and data-driven sales & marketing programs.  The team also shares accountability for client-level data, data quality, and various sales related reporting for this $7 billion LOB.  Through the CRM platform, the team optimizes tools and information for over 600 bankers, and an equal number of sales support, credit, and other product colleagues.   Close partnership with colleagues in Sales, Product, Marketing, and throughout the firm is essential.
Collaboration within and outside the team is continuous, given the interrelationship among CRM, opportunity management, and reporting.  This position sits at the nexus of all three, and the candidate must be passionate about and have the skills for each.  CRM & Sales Innovation is part of a larger group in CB called DNA (Data, Innovation, and Business Architecture).
 
Primary responsibilities and key job functions include:
  • Owning the deal and activity information domains from a data management perspective, becoming the subject-matter expert
  • Managing corresponding schema in CB’s Data Mart, capturing requirements, updating the development queue, and signing off on quality assurance steps prior to production
  • Writing business requirements which outline new functionality we wish to build, or improvements we wish to make, in our CRM system
  • Helping present CRM business requirements to user groups for input and to technology partners for estimation
  • Assisting in the monitoring and resolution of client and deal data quality and helping to devise methods for improvement in the context of an LOB-wide data quality program
  • Helping the team manage analytical routines which create or refresh cross-selling and prospecting ideas; uploading these into our CRM system for sales teams to pursue
  • Researching data-driven cross-selling ideas by locating and examining data sources, calling on product partners, joining data sets together, and summarizing the magnitude of opportunities
  • Supporting various projects generally—oriented towards sales, new initiatives, and compliance/regulatory
  • Supporting our CRM program in other functions including UAT, business rules, mass uploads, and documentation
  • Managing requests from various constituents for information—business logic-related as well as via queries
 
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience in banking; experience in/knowledge of Commercial Banking preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort with several query tools
  • At least some familiarity with SQL is preferred
  • Highly organized and self-directed individual, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a gift for being concise and accurate
