With 280 team members in 11 countries, our Global Supplier Services (GSS) organization works proactively with line of business colleagues to identify capable suppliers, lead the competitive sourcing process and negotiate and contract with the chosen suppliers. Leveraging firm-wide buying power and controlling risk are consistent overarching goals. GSS then ensures that the contracted goods and services can be obtained by our employees in an efficient, cost-effective manner globally.
The Supplier Relationship Management function within GSS partners with all lines of business to ensure that JPMC is realizing maximum value from relationships with third parties. This involves design and launch of a firm wide program to strategically manage and govern these important supplier relationships as well as partnership with the Corporate and Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Asset Management and Consumer Bank to help coordinate around these relationships when they are also clients to protect and potentially broaden and leverage them.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Supplier Relationship Management in Global Supplier Services (GSS), the primary function of the Supplier Relationship Manager role is to partner with a Sourcing Executive, aligned to a set of categories of spend, to drive the implementation of the JPMC enterprise wide Preferred Supplier Program and the Strategic Partner Program, as well as firm wide processes to ensure front to back coordination across JPMC around these relationships. This role will interact with Sourcing Executives, LOB stakeholders, as well as client coverage teams in all businesses who interact with companies in this category.
- Help launch the Preferred Supplier Program and Strategic Partner Program and drive implementation of it with Sourcing and LOB partners
- Partner with client coverage teams to understand which JPMC suppliers are clients of the bank and to coordinate with them and Sourcing around activities that impact these companies (leverage good things and mitigate negative ones)
- Partner with both sourcing and client coverage to help drive holistic decision making around sourcing deals that optimize to both the cost and delivery management objectives of JPMC as well as client relationship
- Perform all responsibilities in line with policies and procedures agreed with legal and compliance
