Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) provides technology support for applications across all lines of business. These applications are critical to ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

 

The CCB Cyber Security team is responsible for IT risk coverage for JPMorgan Chase's Consumer & Community Banking (CCB).  The goal of this team is to consistently identify, assess, and manage technology risks across all environments. Where controls are not adequate, this team escalates those concerns and assists with driving improvements to the overall control environment. To accomplish this goal, the team partners with corporate groups, including the Global Technology Infrastructure, Corporate Cyber, Audit, and also within CCB groups including Operations, Development and the CCB Technology teams.  The team also serves the business in a consultative manner, providing guidance to the business on addressing identified risks.


Responsibilities:

  • Create presentations and reports in line with monthly reporting calendar, and be responsible for delivering to deadlines
  • Identify automation and process improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of CCB’s IT risk reporting processes
  • Be accountable for various ad-hoc risk reporting and project tasks assigned by management
  • Extract data for various assessment, cyber and other risk and control programs, and from various sensor based data sources
  • Cleanse, normalize and join data from multiple sources as to make it actionable and allow the risk teams to enforce accountability
  • Perform data entry activities as needed where programmatic interfaces may not exist
  • Create and maintain authoritative data sources using Excel, SharePoint or other tools as required, and keep them up-to-date and accurate
  • Make data files available for consumption each day (even though some sources may be refreshed only once a week/month)
  • Liaise with and maintain relationships with various technology control officers to ensure line of business IT risk reporting requirements are met
  • Craft suitable risk messaging fit for executive management by distilling complex issues into actionable decision options
  • Guide and develop risk analysts within the team to become more skilled in risk management.
  • Build relationships across tower TCO organizations, corporate risk and cyber teams with a view to improving service delivery
  • Proactively identify emerging risk issues for management escalation based upon data and reporting created.
  • Assist in documenting and implementing processes related to on-boarding requirements for applications/platforms feeding into the firm’s risk management tools
  • Contribute thought leadership and assist with security metrics development and implementation
  • Assist with requirements for extracting data for various assessment, cyber and other risk and control programs, and from various sensor based data sources
  • Participate and support the IR&C monthly reporting cycle to corporate, and to the line-of-business CIOs
  • Collaborate with CCB Cyber Security, Global Technology Infrastructure, Corporate Cyber teams, and Line of Business Information Risk Management teams for issue resolution and mitigation.
  • Support innovation and enhancement efforts within the CCB Cyber Security function.
  • Communicate and escalate issues and incidents as required by process or management.
  • Perform other tasks as directed including data queries, ad-hoc analysis for various projects



  • 5-7+ years of professional Information Technology experience
  • Strong understanding of Information Security concepts
  • An understanding of the concepts of risk management
  • PowerPoint and SharePoint skills strongly desirable
  • Knowledge of working with and manipulating data for analysis, including extraction, cleanse, enrichment, transfer and load processes
  • Strong work ethic, a sense of personal accountability for quality of work, ability to work effectively with remote teams leveraging phone and email based interaction
  • Strong interpersonal and customer skills including incident resolution, response and escalation.
  • Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation
  • Independent thinking, willingness to "step outside the box" and take reasonable, calculated risks
  • Flexible and adaptable in response to changing demands
  • Experience in a fast paced, high stress environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically, work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
