Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
 
Cloud Development is the innovation team within GTI tasked to design and build the next generation of JPMC Compute. We are developing a portfolio of applications:
  • ABB – The Application Back Bone is the firm’s first general purpose elastic cloud computing platform. Designed specifically for full-featured, web-based Java and .NET applications, ABB offers the firm’s easiest and most developer-friendly way to select, deploy, run and manage applications. ABB is “Platform As a Service” and provides:  Unprecedented time-to-market for web based applications; elastic capacity for changing business requirements; pay as you go – fine control over cost; integrated services and standard productivity patterns; 24 x7 guest applications availability and support.
  • Gaia – Private and Hybrid cloud.  We are developing a Greenfield vision that revisits our entire hardware and software landscape, replacing any and all incumbent technology that no longer meets our needs.  Our scope includes: datacenter & rack design, provisioning and automation, software-defined networking, firewalls and storage, Platform as a service and the range of supporting services (database, NoSQL, messaging, cache, SCM, CI, etc.).  Our multi-year goal is for JPMC users to have on-demand computing for mission-critical use cases, comparable to services provided by the major internet players. In order to set this target state correctly, extensive requirements-gathering, analysis and product management is required.
  • Public cloud – the firm is running a significant cloud programming evaluating public cloud vendors and capabilities with the intent of dynamically augmenting server and processing capacity, to improve resiliency and performance while reducing costs and time to market. The cloud projects are tasked to create architectures that can be used across both internal and external providers, update security and operational standards to better align with the cloud, and create a pipeline of applications that can take advantage of the new service.
As part of the Cloud product team, the individual must be able to impact the organization not only through their influencing & leadership skills, but by taking personal ownership for the delivery of measurable results.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Business analysis, data analysis and business intelligence reporting
  • Creating and documenting business process flows and detailed analysis
  • Creating and maintaining business requirements project plan with consultation of the project / program manager
  • Data analysis, BI reporting, creation of requirements documentation with use cases and UML diagrams
  • Ownership of understanding overall system requirements, UI, user scenarios and business rules
  • Carrying out user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management of requirements for ongoing system enhancements
  • Working with the other GTI service groups to incorporate customized client components
  • Understanding current business goals, team structures and interaction amongst GTI Services
  • Numerically grounded degree from an accredited, high quality institution
  • 5+ years experience as a BA role in Tech systems development (SDLC, RAD, JAD, Agile) in the financial industry
  • Experience in writing detailed business requirements and technical specifications, process flows and use cases
  • Strong experience with MS Office suite, MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skilled in carrying out user group sessions, gathering requirements based on user needs and technology implications
  • Efficiency in translating business requirements into usable documentation for technical leads and developers

  • Articulation of prioritized requirements for clear technology implementation

  • Creation of test case scripts, scenarios, design and carry out of UAT

  • Ability to develop strong client relationships within the extended GTI and LOB teams

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Self motivated /strong trouble shooting skills

  • Knowledge of SDLC, RAD, Agile, Business Analysis and Project Management methodologies and tools
