Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) provides technology support for applications across all lines of business. These applications are critical to ensuring an outstanding customer experience.


The Data Modeler Architect is responsible for developing the strategic operational data model within the MB data modeling standards. They are critical to looking ahead while adding new dimensions to the model and still keeping within the MB architectural strategy for the Operational Data Store.


Other Responsibilities:


  • Database design and modeling
  • Performs data analyzes and design, and creates and maintains large, complex logical and physical data models, and metadata repositories using ERWIN and MB MDR
  • Maintains strong data governance discipline
  • Highly effective at facilitating data requirements sessions for complex applications.
  • Leads data requirements, and data modeling sessions.
  • Data quality and integrity analysis
  • Proficient in multiple business disciplines, functions, and knowledgeable about the business' strategic direction
  • Creates Target State Data Models that accommodate strategies across JPMC.  Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.


 

  • 5-7 years of experience in developing conceptual, logical and physical database design for OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • 3 years of data modeling using Erwin and DB2 required
  • Solid experience in relational modeling, dimensional modeling, conceptual, logical modeling, physical modeling, star schema, snowflakes schema, ER diagrams, granularity, cardinality and database reengineering.
  • Strong experience on data analysis, business analysis, user requirement gathering, user requirement analysis, gap analysis, gathering metadata data cleansing, data transformations, data relationships, source systems analysis and reporting analysis
  • Extensive experience in enterprise data warehouse and operational data store architectures
  • Experienced in data transformation, data mapping from source to target database schemas, data cleansing procedures.
  • Experienced in master data management (MDM) projects and solutions
  • Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written, is required
  • Strong Analytical skills and the ability to work through ambiguity to define structure and order
