Corporate Risk Chief Data Office (CDO) - Wholesale Credit & Operational Risk Program VP - NY

Job Description

The Corporate Risk Chief Data Officer (CDO) has been established as part of the Firmwide Data Management (FDM) Program and is part of the Risk organization.  The Corporate Risk CDO team is responsible for the data management framework, standard definitions, data issue/quality management, and overall data governance and oversight across Data Domains. The Corporate Risk CDO team is also responsible for and establishes the interaction model and governance across the Wholesale Credit Risk and Operational Risk organizations, the other Risk and Finance domains and FDM.  This role will work with the Wholesale Credit and Operational Risk CDO Lead to support the senior sponsors of the domains in setting direction, goals and driving agenda.
Responsibilities include:
  • Support data agenda for the Corporate Wholesale Credit and Operational Risk organizations across CROs and dependent domains for scope, definition, prioritization and resolution of data issues
  • Drive the Data Issues root case analysis to drive firmwide strategic solutions and timely remediation
  • Help enforce adherence to firmwide data policies and standards,  transparency / metrics to corporate stakeholders to show  gaps in adherence, as well as strong adoption
  • Assist the LOB CDO teams with navigating the corporate wholesale credit risk sector on new data requirements, change management, and streamlined requests for critical data element issues
  • Communicate requests from FDM/Corporate Risk CDO to the LOBs stakeholders
  • Broaden the breadth and application of Risk and Finance knowledge to be more holistic
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience working on complex firmwide/Corporate risk or operational programs
  • Worked with risk reports, models, data requirements or data quality
  • Excellent knowledge of program management techniques and tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong  written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
