The Vice President role will assist the Global Head of Asset Pricing & Product  in setting, maintaining, and providing timely analysis of  the Asset Pricing Product offering within the Global Reference Data Operations (GRDO) organization , which will include working closely with JPM  Investor Services Product and Operations teams, as well as Legal, Risk, and Compliance groups at the firm level.  The role will also involve monitoring regulatory and industry developments, and actively engage with market data vendors to influence and lead responses on behalf of the Firm and clients.  
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Asset Pricing & Product across multiple lines of business as part of a firmwide remit, including the selection of pricing vendors and definition of tolerance levels.
  • Ownership of Global Asset Pricing policy and best practice pricing methodologies & hierarchies, e.g. the Gold Hierarchy.
  • Complete ongoing reviews and analysis of client and subscriber specific pricing requirements, needs, & usage.
  • Assess pricing treatment & vendor coverage for new instrument types.
  • Monitoring & communication of significant market events & notifications to impacted LOB’s & clients.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Accounting & Regulatory changes, e.g. IFRS7, FRS29, FAS157, SSAE16 etc.
  • Develop & enhance the pricing platform (PUMA) functionality to meet Regulatory changes, e.g. Money Market Reform.
  • Development & enhancement of systemic PUMA controls to reduce operational risk and generate operational efficiencies.
  • Client due diligence overviews and completion of RFP’s for potential new clients.
  • Participate in the Global Pricing Committee on monthly basis.

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with business partners are essential
  • Subject Matter Expertise within Exchange Traded Securities pricing, OTC Derivatives, FX, Funds and Fixed-Income pricing, including hard to value MBS/ABS securities
  • Strong knowledge and experience of data vendor products and capabilities.
  • An experienced individual who has held previous roles in Middle and or Back office for an Investment Manager or for an outsource Provider servicing Investment manager clients.
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage a budget and contribute to the financial planning process 
  • Ability to work independently and manage requests from multiple disciplines
  • Create management reporting and analysis results
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management and comfortable in a client facing role.
  • Ability to think strategically but have strong attention to detail
  • Team player, with strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • Proven analytical, financial analysis, organization and planning skills
  • A track record of defining and successful delivery of new solutions from concept to launch and rollout
  • Asset Pricing technical knowledge and credibility within the fund services industry
  • Understanding of key international accounting standards, particularly US & UK GAAP, IFRS, & main European Standards
  • Experience with asset pricing applications & vendors and knowledge of pricing across a wide variety of instrument types
  • Superior written and presentation communication skills
  • Change management experience
  • Execution orientated and results driven
  • Problem resolution and ability to assess and prevent Operational Risk
