Commercial Banking serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. R2D2 application provides a single platform for Commercial Banking to manage the Quarterly CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review) Reporting.  Currently, the R2D2 team is responsible for the reporting of following CB portfolios:
  • C&I (Commercial & Industrial) Portfolio – Includes corporate loans and leases with a committed balance greater than or equal to $1 million.  
  • CRE (Commercial Real Estate) Portfolio – Includes loans and leases that are secured by real estate with a committed balance greater than or equal to $1 million (e.g. multi-family apartment buildings, 1-4 family single family housing, office buildings, retail, industrial buildings, and land that is being used to build properties that will be rented/leased, etc.)
 
R2D2 is a data intensive and logic intensive application with over 10 dependencies to external technology teams, and over 160 validations assisting users during the user entry and submission process.  R2D2 will continue to expand to support additional Risk Reporting and Analytics. 
 
We are seeking an experienced Application Developer who is a self-starter, highly analytical, detailed oriented, great organization and communication skills and with ability to balance multiple projects and handle changes/uncertainly by quickly adapting to new processes.  
 
Responsibilities:        
  • Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment and deliver on multiple project streams simultaneously
  • Contribute to the design and development of new software components on E2E projects
  • Interface with Business users as necessary for defining requirements and streamlining design
  • Conduct design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to coding standards
  • Modify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance
  • Coordinate with analyst teams to execute test plans and provide support during user acceptance testing
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Minimum of 9+ years of solid hands on development expertise using HTML/JavaScript/AJAX/JSON/J2EE/Core Java/Oracle
  • Must have strong skills in delivering complex Web based User interfaces/Reporting presenting large datasets visually
  • Understand data virtualization and metadata concepts, familiar with data virtualization tools
  • Should possess excellent object-oriented design skills with strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong data management background
  • Experience working with enterprise data with credit data analytics background
  • Strong skills in writing complex SQL queries preferably in Oracle
  • Strong knowledge of Eclipse/Subversion/Hibernate/Spring frameworks
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exposure to Credit Risk Management systems would be a nice to have
  • Experience with Tableau preferred
Education:

Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer science, Engineering, Math or related technical fields
