Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.


Roles & Responsibilities:
NA Regulatory Reporting Developer will contribute to the  Application Development for the NA & LATAM Regulatory Programs, responsible to design and build out the strategic solution (from current to interim to final state) for Regulatory Reporting in the NA, WHEM & LATAM regions.
Initial efforts will be focused on continued deployment of Axiom platform to facilitate immediate reporting capability through onboarding new functionality and enhancing existing component to facilitate our Regulatory Reporting needs.
 
The program will require management of inputs across multiple lines of business, source systems, data owners and
product types; it is operating in a change environment with multiple upstream infrastructure programs working to deliver improved data and data warehousing for the firm.  This will require a level of flexibility & adaptability in work efforts, whilst maintaining a consistent approach to ensure end goal is successfully achieved.
 
The role is a key component of the project team based in Jersey City, NJ
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Regulatory Reporting Axiom Developer would support the Regulatory reporting Application Lead for the NA, WHEM & LATAM Regulatory Program:
  • You will be part of the RFT TECH technical team that designs and builds the future state solution for Regulatory reporting in the NA, WHEM & LATAM.
  • Work on the deployment and enhancements in AXIOM platform which has been newly implemented to assist with the US Regulatory Reporting needs.
  • Design, build, test. debug and document high-performance, scalable and resilient technical solutions in Axiom platform to satisfy business requirements for large & complex projects. 
  • Adhere to coding best practices/standard communicated by the Global Axiom Application Architect Designer and internal policy.  
  • Partner with supporting tech leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimates. 
  • Analysis and build within Control, Stability, Resiliency, Capacity & Performance areas 
  • Partner with the AD onshore and offshore member to develop the Axiom solutions. 
  • Work very close to the Business Analysts to review business requirements and functional specifications produced to ensure high-quality deliverables are matching with Business need. 
  • Robust delivery of code into the production environment with zero tolerance for post implementation issues. 
  • Proactively look to develop, implement and further development best practices across the group.   
  • Work with other team members, including Solution Architect, DBA's, ETL Team, Technical Architects, QA and Business Analysts to define the best solution. 
  • Write and maintain technical design specifications according to functional specifications.   
  • Execute unit testing and system integration testing to ensure completeness and that it adheres to appropriate policies/standards, resulting in quality deliverables.  
  • Contribute to quality improvement, code reviews, code/architecture standards, code reuse etc. 
  • Undertake “peer reviews”, and have your work reviewed by other members of the AD Team. 
  • Proactively look to develop, implement and further development best practices across the group.

Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years experience with Axiom Development.
  • Relevant University degree with 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills (both verbal    and written).
  • Must be able to work directly with business analysts to understand and document requirements
  • Knowledge of release management, version and revision control practices and procedures (Subversion, ClearCase, ITPAM, ect..)
  • Strong knowledge of development life cycles
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
 
Desirable Skills:
  • ETL experience: Ab Initio, Informatica, etc                 
  • 1-2 Years experience in financial services 
  • Any exchange traded or Investment Banking knowledge
  • Regulatory Compliance knowledge

  • Experience working in Information technology within the Financial Services industry and or Regulatory environment
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external client relationships
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Master's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Information Technology is a plus.
