CCB IT Finance – Financial Analysis - Columbus OH

Job Description

The Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Technology Finance group provide financial advice and reporting to support CCB's business strategy and control environment.  This group has global responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for a $3B expense portfolio and roughly 11,000 heads.  This group is currently seeking an Associate on the reporting and analysis side to provide financial presentations and other reports for senior management and the executive team.  Success in this role is accomplished predominately through outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills, data accuracy, financial analysis, and relationship building.


This person will be responsible for working closely with the business to provide standard and ad hoc financial reporting.  It will require significant use of Essbase, an understanding of allocations, and the willingness to partner with others to consolidate information.  The selected candidate must be a self-starter who will move rapidly up the learning curve, establish and enhance reporting processes, and make key contributions to the CCB IT goals and objectives.  This role will be an integral part of the Finance team.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting which provide clear explanations of results, variances, and business drivers to ensure expense goals are achieved
  • Provide integral support for executive reporting and senior management presentations
  • Participate in ad-hoc analytics to support a range of projects and requests from management
  • Regulatory spend consolidation and reporting
  • Collaborate with India team on future centralization efforts
  • Identification and implementation of procedures to improve financial controls
  • Customize or create reports upon request



  • 5+ years experience in Financial Planning / Management Reporting with strong technical skills
  • Outstanding PC skills especially with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Capacity and desire to work both at a strategic and detailed financial analysis level
  • Skilled at mastering the various Essbase cubes for financial data
  • Ability to work independently to meet deliverables in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ready to deliver under a rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills essential
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and senior management
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, and passion for accuracy
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
