Job Description

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) is the Investment Management arm of JP Morgan Chase & Co. JPMAM, which was formed following the merger of JP Morgan Investment Management (JPMIM) and Chase Fleming Asset Management (CFAM), continues to run the equity investment management processes of each heritage firm separately, offering a full range of products to clients through a combined distribution force.

JPMAM manages employee benefit plans for corporations and unions. Investment Management Services are also provided for by a broad spectrum of other institutional investors, including foundations, endowments, sovereign governments, defined contribution plans and insurance companies, as well as other institutional and individual investors through mutual funds, investment partnerships and other pooled investment vehicles. JP Morgan Asset Management is an active participant in the global equity, fixed income, emerging and currency markets as well as in US real estate, oil and gas, and the futures and options markets. Investment management offers a fully managed investment advisory service to individual clients on a global basis through JP Morgan's Private Client Group.

The IM Fee Billing group supports the Investment Management business for both New York and London and is responsible for fee processing for approximately 3600 clients. The group consists of 10+ people (Billing Specialists, Quality Control Analysts and Finance).

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for calculating, verifying, and processing client invoices.

Summary of main functions:
  • Preparation & review of fee calculations using in-house systems as well as Excel
  • Self-management of open item list and prompt communication of issues to team leader
  • Timely & accurate response to queries from clients, custodians and other JPMorgan Chase business groups
  • Completion of various ad hoc financial analyses as requested by Account Management and Financial
Essential Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Client Focus - recognize and respond to needs of both external and internal clients
  • Attention to detail
  • Goal oriented
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills - the internal clients are typically in remote locations (NY & London), so excellent telephone & e-mail skills are essential
  • Team spirited attitude - our internal & external clients view us as a cohesive group; information sharing and a willingness to seek out and develop new skills / knowledge from within the group as key attributes
  • Excel - intermediate aptitude is essential (formulas, filters, pivot tables); advanced knowledge a plus
