Department Summary

The CIB Client Reference Data EMEA team provides direct support to EMEA based Custody and Fund Services clients for new and incremental business activities, fund manager and mandate restructures and client exits.

The team works closely with Sales, Client Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, New Business Implementation Managers, Deal Managers, Transitions Team, and directly with JP Morgan clients.

The team’s scope is considerable with a constantly fluctuating tempo; depending upon client activity, and as such needs to be flexible in its approach and attitude in order to provide the best support and service to our client base.

 

EMEA Client Reference Data  team is responsible for:

  • Account opening & maintenance, in line with internal and external client SLAs
  • Management and co-ordination of complex client requests including fund restructures, launches and transitions
  • Project management for new client on-boardings for account openings, market and tax documentation
  • Product maintenance for new accounts relating to client facing technology entitlements
  • Management of business driven programs to support regulatory, product and business change
  • Strong oversight over regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Close support to the global team’s programme team to ensure technology meets evolving clients and regulatory requirements.

 

Position Summary

The EMEA Client Reference Data Manager position will cover C&FS and is responsible for the implementation of new and incremental business wins in relation to custody account openings and the co-ordination of market documentation activity. 

This role partners with the sales and relationship management, J.P. Morgan’s sub custodian network, client service, and transition team in order capture client business requirements. You will be responsible for regular reporting to senior J.P. Morgan management on key performance and key risk indicators.

The position will require interactions with senior personnel either internally or externally. Thus this requires expertise in the custody and value added services provided to clients and involves competencies such as effective time management, negotiation, including influencing and communication skills.

This role will cover the EMEA client base and will require extensive partnerships with global partners in WHEM and APAC. 

As the remit of the CIB Client Reference Data team continues to expand, the role will require coverage of additional products and clients. 

 

Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team to deliver:  
  • Excellent client service through close management of client requests against SLAs
  • Continual development of team to drive expertise
  • Strong governance programs to manage capacity and ensure risk controls
  • Close partnership with key stakeholders and partner teams
  • Program manage key initiatives
  • Accountability for compliance with key regulatory requirements

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Experience Required: 

  • High level of interpersonal and relationship building skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills in ability to solve problems and drive decisions within tight timeframes with clients and internal teams (both locally and globally)
  • Ability to anticipate, manage and resolve problems that may within the account opening and market documentation processes
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage SLAs with internal teams in order to deliver on time, to requirements and to agreed quality standards required by clients
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong financial services background
  • Excellent risk management disciplines

Previous Career Experience Required: 

  • Minimum of 8 years global custody experience including detailed knowledge of account structures, market and / ortax documentation requirements for international markets.
  • Client Service and Operations experience
