The Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities team is responsible for managing dedicated Emerging Markets and Pacific Regional portfolios for both institutional and funds clients in JPMAM. Current assets under management amount to over $75bn comprising global, regional and single country portfolios of varying risk profiles. Clients are located in all major geographies. The investment team of over 100 portfolio managers and analysts are supported by teams of client portfolio managers based in London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
This role involves but is not limited to:
Represent the investment desk to senior internal partners in the institutional & distribution teams.
Build and execute a strategy for growing equity fund sales across the region.
Deal with day-to-day fund queries raised by the regional sales teams for all EMAP products
Client service of existing client base
Work with marketing for client seminars and roadshows, including travelling for client meetings and seminars
- Experience in Asian equities, preferably with Portfolio Management and/or Client Portfolio Manager background or from the sell side
- Able to establish immediate credibility with clients, portfolio managers and internal distribution channels
- Strong fluency English and Chinese (Mandarin), written and verbal. Ability to also speak Cantonese preferred
- Outgoing personality with the ability to be a self-starter
- Strong presentation, management and leadership attributes
