Corporate and Investment(CIB) Operations focuses on building and maintaining strong relationship with clients and partner closely with technology, finance and representatives from lines of businesses to provide real time, world class service in a highly controlled environment.
 
The Global Fixed Income Cash Middle (GFICMO) Office located in Mumbai supports the global trade capture teams located across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
The GFICMO in Mumbai has close to 30 employees managing various operational functions such Trade Management, Regulatory Reporting, Control and Risk Management, Client Services, Interest Claims, Max Recovery. Key Products supported are Bonds, Repo, Public Finance, Specialized Products Group (SPG).
 
The Mumbai Team executes multiple functions across regions as below –
 
Trade Support Middle Office – EMEA and North America
 
  • Trade Life cycle management events such as Reconciliations, Exceptions Monitoring,
    Trade enrichment, Fails Management, Query Management etc.
  • Investigate Risk Management systems for economic breaks, raised by the back office of affiliates through the query management tools.
  • Query management tools – Work with Settlements, Confirmations & Accounting to review and assist with any settlement, confirmation and or accounting related queries/issues
  • Performing Reconciliation activities between Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office Systems therefore maintaining a controlled environment
  • Compile Ad-hoc reports that are requested by Front Office or other Middle / Back office groups.
  • Interacting with various internal teams for resolution of issues, working collectively on process improvement initiatives etc.
  • Reporting daily MIS to the management.
  • Participate and Contribute in tech projects including UAT’s
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Interest Claims
 
  • Validate all fails trades to ensure claims letter are issued in a timely manner
  • Proactively manage individual claims from execution to closure, investing the necessary level of involvement required for each claim depending on the nature, category, and quantum of the claim
  • Regular review of outstanding claims and accordingly chase clients for resolution of claims
  • Interact with client custodians / back office / middle office to identify issues, challenges, disputes and take appropriate and corrective action.
  • Analyze fails trends and notify related parties across the firm
  • Manage payable claims of the clients and ensure high delivery service is provided. Prompt coordination with the Client Services and settlements required for smooth settlement of payable claims
  • Daily MIS produced and sent across to the management
 
 
Personal Specifications:
 
Education and Qualifications - Any Graduate with minimum 5 years of work experience in Investment Banking Operations. Should have knowledge of Fixed Income products such as Bonds, Repo
