GTI APAC Senior Business Analyst - Vice President

Department:
GTI (Global Technology Infrastructure) are responsible for managing the firm's infrastructure portfolio across plan, build and operate. The organization drives product selection, management, engineering and productivity for all infrastructure technologies across the firm.
 
Reporting to the Central Functions Lead within the Chief Operating Office (COO) for GTI APAC, primary areas of oversight and enablement for this role include: creating a well-understood view of our cost base; defining and assessing cost save opportunities and measuring the benefit of expense save programs; supporting our business and technology resiliency governance framework; and driving process standardization and consistent operating procedure across our Technology Site Management (TSM) locations within the Asia Regional Centers (ARC). This role is key to ensuring GTI is continually “raising the bar” on the level of expense management, resiliency governance and TSM operating procedure across GTI APAC.
  
 
Responsibilities:
Within a matrix management construct, deliver the COO Central Functions agenda by:
  • Maintaining a clear view of the entire cost base of GTI APAC - understanding those costs which are controllable versus internal allocations and cost drivers (fixed versus variable, consumption based, unit price, etc.). Linking in-region and accountable individuals to all costs which are controllable
  • Defining and assessing cost save opportunities with expense owners and determining feasibility (e.g., saves derived from changing a vendor SLA or reducing variable costs tied to consumption).
  • Managing ad-hoc expense save projects which require coordination between Services and periodic benchmarking of GTI’s pricing and cost competitiveness. Leveraging tools such as the Firm’s online auction platform for rebidding products and services
  • Ensuring that individuals who are accountable for developing, maintaining and testing Business Impact Analyses (BIA), Business Resiliency Plans (BRP) and Technology Recovery Plans (TRPs) understand what is expected of them and how to do so in accordance with Corporate Policy and GTI best practices (i.e., that they are properly trained and are kept current with changes to evolving Resiliency standards)
  • Testing oversight for business and technology resiliency plans (i.e., business recovery scenarios; DR site tests for applications “opted-in” to a location). Ensure appropriate coverage for applications included in the scope of a DR test.
  • Identifying and inventorying necessary SOPs, supporting periodic maturity assessments and data capture, workflow or automation “maturity uplift” initiatives (process and RACI definition; creation of artefacts or repositories; data capture, workflow and automation, etc.)
Experience (Required):
  • 5+ years experience in a commercial role preferably in the financial industry
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-departmental delivery and the flexibility to influence people at a variety of levels internally and externally
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with senior executives
  • Strong analytical and problem solving, decision making and relationship building skills
  • Proven track record in departmental management and implementation within a large scale environment
