Product Design of the Intraday Liquidity application
for JP Morgan Investment Bank Technology
Candidates will be expected to serve as a liaison between Product Owners and Application Development, focusing on translating stakeholder requirements into functional designs.  More specifically they will need to work closely with Product Owners to produce UI Mockups, User Stories and Specification by Example artefacts in order to capture requirements, as well as advise on delivery options, risks, and costs.  Corollary, the next steps will entail facilitating conversations between the Product Owner, Application Development and QA teams to ensure that requirements are precisely understood, estimated and ready for development.  The candidate will report to the IDL Product Architect.
The role requires an individual that is comfortable with the following:
  • Working directly with Product Owners to refine and estimate stakeholder requirements
  • Interface with the business on functional aspects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Translate product owners' needs and ideas into proposals, requirements, user stories and detailed specifications
  • Assist in developing and reviewing documented test plans, and specifications by example
  • Create mockups to define specific functionalities and screens
  • Participate in analysis and design to provide feedback to development.
  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning and review, story refinement sessions, retrospectives)
  • Create and maintain documentation on applications, user stories, specifications
  • Define business rules when necessary to support business processes
  • Analyze datasets to suggest better ways to use and display data into our applications
  • Provide on-going support to other departments as required.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for assigned projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the development and test teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Business Entity Modelling and UML Notation.
Desirable (but not essential) Technical Skills:
  • Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff
  • Experience in Agile development life cycle
  • Experience with SDLC tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with developing and documenting requirements, user stories, specification by example
  • Experience in documenting requirements for Web applications, ideally data-driven dashboards or analytics
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis with Excel – ideally some SQL knowledge or interest in learning
  • Interest for UX/UI design – ideally knowledge of some mockups/wire-framing tool
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
