Private Bank Suitability Framework – Product Risk Rank Supervisory Manager(SM)

This SM role will specifically look at product risk ranking of all products traded; Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate.   The suitability framework Supervisory Manager coordinates and works closely with PB Asset Class leaders, Market SMs, Risk, Compliance, Investor teams and Operations.   

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a Product Risk Ranking Procedure to ensure monitoring and procedures are globally consistent.

  • Conduct post-trade reviews checks related to Product Risk Ranking within GWM’s suitability framework

  • Provide oversight of investment / trading activity to ensure compliance with the suitability including related policy requirements

  • Analyze and review trading activity, account holdings and client profile for suitability concerns and take action as required

  • Assist with preparing MIS reporting and analysis 

  • Review of exceptions for client knowledge and experience

  • Review and make determination of suitability for potential vulnerable clients

  • Partner with Market Supervisory Manager to escalate concerns or issues

Other Duties May Include:

  • Assist with the trading, processing and reporting of errors and approval of cancel/corrects

  • Assist in preparation of Regulatory audits /Internal examinations and demonstrating adherence to internal policies and procedures

  • Respond to surveillance related inquiries from compliance

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree 
  • Requires 5 years’ experience as a Supervisory Manager or comparable job with a Brokerage or Wealth Management firm
  • Requires the Series 7, 63, 8 (9&10), 24.  Series 4 a plus (If hired, you will be required to pass the Series 4 within 90 days of start date)
