Department Summary

The Finance Organisation is responsible for the management and execution of the Finance activity of the J.P. Morgan subsidiaries, branches and the Lines of Business (LOBs) across Australia and New Zealand.  The Corporate Tax team is responsible for managing the tax affairs of the J.P. Morgan legal entities in Australia, including compliance obligations with the Australian Taxation Office. 


Team Summary:

The objective of this position is to provide reliable and confidential operational assistance to the, Senior Financial Officer (SFO), Head of Tax and team as well as the Legal Entity & Control team (LEC). The Executive  Assistant provides operational support across a variety of different facets which enables the SFO, Head of Tax, LEC and Tax teams to undertake their role in an efficient and effective manner.


Key responsibilities:

  • Managing diaries for the heads of areas and setting up meetings with document/presentation preparation
  • Coordinating both domestic and international travel and creating/managing itineraries for travelers
  • Managing the process for leavers and joiners
  • Managing office supplies, IT equipment and facilities requests
  • Accounts Payable: Be the location subject matter expert for the accounts payable system/policies and work closely with the off-shore accounting team to resolve queries
  • MasterCard: Manage all corporate cards
  • Ad Hoc: General reporting, statistics compilation and business continuity planning for team


  • 3 years experience as an administrator or assistant (PA or EA) in a large corporate environment
  • Computer literacy (all Microsoft Office applications)
  • Experience in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Demonstrate the utmost discretion and professionalism at all times, including a professional phone manner
  • Flexible
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Quick turn around of requests/project items
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with various levels of seniority.
  • Team player, partnership with other team members and different teams across business
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner - able to understand new systems and procedures quickly - and a forward thinker
