Our Team

 

The Geneva Credit Middle Office Team is part of Private Banking Operations and supports both the Capital Advisory team and the Credit Executives. The main focus of the team is to monitor daily client credit exposure. And review and approve transactions in line with the internal procedures and policies.

 

The Role

 

The main focus of the role is to facilitate the approval of Credit transactions and perform related controls. Specific duties include:

  • Review and approval of loan drawdowns in line with Credit Policy
  • Review and approval of payments and asset transfers from a credit standpoint (sufficient collateral, line availability)
  • Determine resolution plans for credit over limits and unauthorized activity situations in partnership with the front office
  • Monitoring daily credit exposure to ensure compliance with authorized limits
  • Identifying, investigating and reporting collateral shortfall situations; ensuring prompt resolution in partnership with the front office
  • Maintenance and monitoring of collateral values
  • Booking and monitoring of guarantees
  • Ensuring controls and procedures are properly followed
  • Keeping all procedures current  and up to date

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Good understanding of the Private banking business and credit products
  • Languages: fluent English is mandatory
  • Control and Risk mitigation mind-set as well as reengineering mind set needed (ability to suggest process improvements) 
  • Strong organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
  • Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate efficiently in a virtual team environment
  • Team player, dynamic and hard working
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNAL MOVES WILL NORMALLY TAKE PLACE ON THE SAME GRADE AND SAME SALARY. SALARIES ARE REVIEWED ANUALLY IN FEBRUARY. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE REGARDING TRANSFER ON CURRENT SALARY MAY INCLUDE A MOVE BETWEEN GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS.
