JPMorgan Alternative Investment Services (AIS) provides fund administration and middle office services to Private Equity funds, Hedge Funds and Fund Of Funds and their associated Investors.  Today AIS has close to $500 billion in assets under administration and custody, over 600 employees.

The AIS business services include administration of funds, transaction processing, accounting, P+L and NAV creation, regulatory filings, settlement and cash management, and investor reporting.

 

Position Summary
This is an Applications Developer role within the global AIS Technology Team. The AIS Technology team is a global team who build applications supporting the operations across Alternative Investment Services, including Hedge Fund Accounting, Private Equity Fund Services and Investor Relations.

As a key member of the AIS Technology Team you will be working on new and existing applications across our Java and .NET application stacks. The ideal candidate will be someone who is familiar with coding in both Java and C# .Net and a desire to code across both (Java and C# .NET) in their new role. The position will allow opportunities for cross training for successful candidate.

You will be a junior to mid level developer with at least two years of experience working as an applications developer in a global banking organisation or similar. The role will suit a candidate who has a passion for front end UI development utilising the latest HTML5 development frameworks.

You will be familiar with the full SDLC process and comfortable working in a dynamic fast changing environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on all application tiers. Ideally candidate will have an interest working on back end database, middle tiers and UI. Experience working in a Fund Services area highly desirable.

 

 Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Master's degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology a plus.
  • Applications development experience in an OO environment
  • C# .NET or Java (Ideally both).
  • SQL Server, T-SQL or ORACLE, PL-SQL.
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
  • Familiar with industry leading version control systems.
  • Familiar with automated build and deployment processes.
  • Familiar with unit test frameworks.
  • Familiar with code peer review tools and processes.
  • Ideally you will have experience working on multiple application tiers through database back end, middle tier, UI
