An exciting Java Analyst Developer opportunity is available in a new Bournemouth based team within Control System Technology (CST).  CST provides strategic application development and production support to 5 firm-wide organizations whose focus is strongly aligned to the firm’s enterprise wide control agendas: Oversight and Control, IT Risk Management, Sourcing & Procurement, Global Security & Investigations, and Global Business Resiliency.
 
The ELA and CMS team supports, analyses and develop the firm wide repository system that defines, categorizes and manages the Company’s obligations based on Country and Regional institution’s laws and rules.
 
The role of the Java Analyst Developer within the ELA and CMS Team will be to develop and support the ELA and CMS services built and developed within the team.
 
Candidates are expected to be strong individual contributors with excellent inter-personal skills and have a BSc degree; preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
Required Skills:
 
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of Java7/8
  • Knowledge of using Tomcat and Apache as an Application Server
  • Experience in analysing the Client’s requirements and document Requirements and generate Use Cases and Stories.
  • Ability to understand Business Requirements and Stories and create technical design recommendations based on corporate standards and practices.
  • Understanding of Patterns and Anti-Patterns
  • Strong inter-personal skills:
  • Ability to influence design and directions by communicating at different levels based on the audience.
  • Clear and concise communication skills to present and demo ideas, solutions and concepts to other team members, users and stakeholders
 
Preferred Skills 
 
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of Spring, CanJS or AngularJS
  • Experience in Web Page design and UX Concepts.
  • Knowledge of current CI and TDD practices
  • Understanding of Patterns and Anti-Patterns
  • Be able to create and manage build jobs on Jenkins (Hudson)
  • Experience of developing, deploying and supporting Applications on Linux.
  • Ability to review and understand Sonar reports, and to be able to administer the Sonar Profiles
  • Experience in ETL, especially Informatica.
  • Understand several areas of Spring; MVC, Data, Batch and Spring Core (IoC, Transaction Management, Security and Integration).
  • Knowledge and experience in BDD
