 Team Description

The EMEA Transaction Services (TS) and Global Trade & Loan Products (GTLP) Compliance team is made up of five people, and is part of the EMEA Compliance Department.  The team is responsible for providing day to day Compliance support and advice to Liquidity Solutions, Core Cash Management, Escrow, Pre-Paid Card, Global Trade and Loan Products, as well as working in partnership with the regional and global Compliance teams.

 Job Description/Role Requirements

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced VP to join the London based Compliance team to take on responsibility for the GTLP compliance coverage, reporting in to the TS Compliance team leader. 

 The role will be primarily responsible for the day to day oversight and advisory activities within the GTLP division.  Experience in the following lending-type products would be preferable; Traditional Trade (L/Cs, SBLCs), Export Finance, Supply Chain Finance and other relationship lending products (including bi-lateral, club deal and loan participations).

 This role manages the regulatory risks in conjunction with internal stakeholders in sales, implementation, technology, product management, legal, credit, risk, tax, compliance and client services. Appropriately engages business partners where approvals or expertise is required.  The role involves, amongst others, advising the GTLP business to assist in maintaining a control environment that ensures compliance with Global Regulations, in the development of new products, advising on required process changes to support regulatory change management, and conducting independent compliance risk assessment of the business.

 

Qualifications

  The successful candidate will:

  •  Posses’ excellent analytical skills, preferably with previous experience as a business, legal or compliance analyst.
  • Have experience of working closely with various business and control function stakeholders to understand detailed business processes.
  • Have a working knowledge of UK regulations applicable to relationship lending products [COBS, Reg W, SYSC, ].  Knowledge of regulations in EMEA and the US would be of added benefit.
  • Ideally have a good understanding of EEA passport and licensing regulations as it relates to financing products.
  • Be able to interpret and map complex regulations against business processes in order to document compliance with those regulations.
  • Experience with Control Analysis or Operational Risk
