The Focus and responsibility of the Global Credit Middle Office Regulatory Projects team is the interpretation, development, build and delivery of infrastructure and control changes brought about by new or additional regulatory requirements.

The team acts as Credit Middle Office SMEs covering developments for all regulatory requirements impacting middle office processes as well as ensuring the controls and reports coving the regulatory processes are encompassing and functions at acceptable levels.
 
The Global Credit Middle Office Regulatory Projects team is responsible for:
  • Delivery of New Regulatory requirements (across global jurisdictions)
  • Development and implementation of controls and reconciliations covering regulatory requirements.
  • Working with Business, Legal, Audit, Control and Corporate functions for issues and developments relating to regulations
  • Technology deliveries relating to new or enhancements to regulatory reporting
  • Process and control mapping
  • Escalation and remediation of reporting issues
  • Participating in Industry working groups to discuss regulatory requirements, developments and industry best practices
  • Continuous review and enhancement of regulatory reporting and control framework.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on a number of key control deliverables across regulatory jurisdictions
  • Creating action plans to rectify current reporting issues
  • Look at synergies across controls and reporting jurisdictions to ensure control and future scalability
  • Attend weekly control meetings to discuss current reconciliation and control performance
  • Understand key risks and associated control points on the transaction lifecycle (with specific focus on the regulatory requirements of the lifecycle)
  • Build and maintain relationships with Front Office, Product Control, Legal, Compliance, and corporate.
  • Deliver projects related to all of the above
 
  • Prior experience ideally of regulatory framework (CFTC, MiFID or ESMA) or at a minimum middle office / Operations control functions.  
  • Experience with control reconciliations being able to identify and prioritize issues
  • Product Knowledge – an understanding of Credit products as well as a wider understanding of OTC and security products.
  • Familiar with Industry developments such as Financial Reform and worked with industry participants such as DTCC / ISDA
  • Prior experience of a control and development role
