  • JPMorgan Investment Management Technology is looking to recruit an experienced Java Specialist to support the delivery of timely testing solutions in response to growing business demand.
 
About the Role and project
As an Applications Developer, you will participate in all facets of the development cycle for JPMAAM's Portfolio Management system as well as their external facing client website. This includes design, analysis, development, coding, testing and documentation. You will partner closely with business partners and the broader JPMAAM technology team. You will ensure your work products adhere to coding, architectural, and security standards as defined throughout Asset Management. A successful candidate must have relevant Java and web development experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs
  • Designing software and producing scalable and resilient technical designs
  • Creating Automated Unit Tests using Flexible/Open Source Frameworks using a Test Driven Development / Behavior Driven Development approach
  • Digesting and understanding Business Requirements and designing new modules/functionality which meets the business expectation.
  • Utilize agile methodologies and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
  • Research and evaluate solutions and make recommendations
 
 
 
Essentials:
 
  • Solid UI experience with Angular JS, JavaScript framework and jQuery
  • Experience in Core Java/ J2EE or .NET design techniques
  • Java or .NET Frameworks i.e. Spring; Hibernate
  • Multi-threaded Programming
  • Experience with Restful web services
  • Source code control software (eg. Clearcase, subversion) Track Record Delivering in an Investment Bank Environment
  • RDBMS experience preferably with MS SQL Server including stored procedures
  • Test Driven Development/Behavior Driven Development
  • 12+ years of solid IT experience
 
Desirable (but not essential):
  • UNIX shell scripting (1+ year)
  • Experience with Karma, Jasmine, Jade- Lang,D3,Chosen,SlickGrid
  • MQ/JMS
  • Maven
  • Jenkins

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Business Administration and 2-3 years of financial application development/consulting experience.
