Quality Assurance Analyst - Associate

Job Description

The JPMorgan Chase Corporate Technology and Risk organization combines a wide range of controls and risk-related functions, helping to manage the full scope of technology risks and compliance issues. Core functions within the CTR organization include Oversight and Control, Operational Risk, Legal, e-Discovery, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Global Identity and Access Management and IT Risk. In addition, CTR provides technology development and support for all JPMorgan Chase corporate sector businesses.

The Corporate Technology and Risk (CTR) Quality Assurance (QA) team is responsible for testing change delivery as well as implementing quality improvements to drive improvements in ‘time to market’ and ‘productivity’. The team also leads on controls compliance, measurement and reporting to all stakeholders and sponsors.

Test Analyst in collaboration with the other stakeholders devise the test objectives, test strategies and test plan within CTR QA. The successful candidate will be embedding a culture of reporting, quality assurance, process improvements and monitoring functions, using their experience to bring a best of breed approach to the QA function.

The ideal candidate will show the ability to work positively, effectively and decisively to deadlines and can demonstrate initiative, determination, flexibility, judgment and adaptability.  

Support the successful delivery of the program portfolio by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, forming a clearly defined communications plan, and owning meetings.

Description:

  • Understand business context, functional specifications and detail design documents
  • Create detailed test cases with complete coverage of business processes and functionalities
  • Verify relational database data with respect to business logic and user interface, outputs, reports, etc.
  • Execute test cases and document test results
  • Verify test execution results and update execution information
  • Document defects with detailed descriptions and supporting information
  • Create automation frameworks, utilities to support day to day testing activities
  • The ideal candidate will have:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in creating and executing test cases for complex business applications, from banking and financial services domain
    • Strong knowledge of regression principles and Automation techniques

    ·         Detailed understanding of different types of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methods

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Must be self driven, fast learner and delivery focused
    • Experience in automation using Selenium or QTP 
    • Very good relational Database knowledge - preferably with Oracle.
    • Good UNIX skills
    • Thorough experience in all components of HP Quality Center/ALM (Requirements, Test Plan, Test Lab, Defects)
    • Experience with one of the programing language (Perl/Shell/Java)
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
    • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, particularly in a multi-cultural environment
