Production Management Role:
A) Passion to work and learn ‘soup to nuts’ on managing Commodities technology production systems for business.
B) Passion to learn Commodities Trading business including products, markets, lifecycle and risk, PnL, credit valuation and reporting.
Role implies extensive interaction and support to business users including Traders, Finance, Risk, Product Control, Settlements and Client valuation.
C) Development/Test experience – role implies extensive collaboration with Developers and across production management teams. Preferably in programming language Python or similar with good exposure to trading application like Athena.
D) Production incident management and RCA follow up. Manage issues related to a variety of Desktop/Servers/Hosting Solution, Hardware, Leased Lines/Network etc.
E) Automation Design/Implementer – design, implement, fix and recommend strategies to automate for extremely reliable production system/flow.
F) Information Risk & Cyber Security Compliance – Understand, Collaborate and Implement to meet CSAs and compliance.
G) Software and Hardware Lifecycle –Collaborate to maintain software and hardware to production support grade. Lead HA/SA/DR event and assist in patching/GLM event.
H) Decommission and Save – Lead, Collaborate and Implement decommission/retirement projects to realize bottom line benefit.
I) Infrastructure plan and sourcing - Collaborate to Analyze, Plan and pursue retirement/replacement/new demand infrastructure and get things done to meet demands of productivity and save.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience (preferably in a front office trade support role). Experience programing and problem solving. Deep technical knowledge of Linux, database systems, performance and problem investigation.
