The Java Application Developer is responsible for providing high quality technology solutions that address the business needs for Corporate Technology & Risk team supporting Compliance.
 
In this role, the Application Developer will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the project including design, build, test and implementation phases, ensuring quality and accuracy is maintained and on-going support.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Support applications in production managed by the Application Management team 
  • Development and support of Java Web Applications and services as specified by our business partners. This includes developing new features and problem identification and resolution. The applications utilize technologies including Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Adhere to all corporate and departmental standards and policies
  • Maintain and enhance existing Web based applications as needed.
  • Tune application code for optimal performance.
  • Work with customers to understand application/ project requirements for new projects and enhancements.
  • Organize multiple work tasks and prioritize them to meet deadlines
  • Help end-users using a "consultative" approach
  • Trouble shoot issues reported by end-users (Application and Data)

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years software development experience with C#.NET
  • 3+ years experience with SQL Server 2008/2012
  • 3+ years experience with XML Parsing, Schemas, etc.
  • 3+ years experience administering Windows 2008/2012 environments, including experience with vendor package software installations, User Administration, Security, and Folder Sharing
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Experience across the development lifecycle with large-scale, highly available applications
  • Ability to quickly develop subject matter expertise and working knowledge of new business processes - i.e., an ability to understand 'the business' in short order
  • Self starter with ability to work independently and manage own time well
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
  • Technology Awareness - understanding of new technologies and how they may be leveraged
  • Innovation - ability to think out of the box to provide creative solutions to technology challenges

    • jQuery
    • Performance testing and monitoring
    • SFTP technologies and tools
