Position Summary
 
UAT Team performs test planning, test preparation and test execution activities for each application release.  The team performs functional, regression, user acceptance, smoke, and sanity testing on various systems (i.e. Agent Desktop, Default Workflow, Documents and Letters). 
 
The UAT operations specialist is responsible for performing test planning, test preparation and test execution activities. In test planning, the operations specialist is expected to be involved in designing the test scripts, based on latest specifications and requirements documents, to be used for validation during the test execution. In test preparation, the operations specialist is expected to prepare test data pertaining to the test scripts that will be executed.  The operations specialist must also ensure test environment readiness prior to the test execution. In test execution, the operations specialist is expected to report all findings to the team’s defect database and to send reports pertaining to the status of the assigned tasks.
 
 
Business Description
 
The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team is responsible for conducting software testing on the following systems in support of different Mortgage Banking LOBs:
  • Agent Desktop
  • Default Workflow
  • Documents and Letters
The team is expected to be actively involved during the different phases of testing activities from requirements analysis until the deployment of projects.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • The operations specialist will perform and assist in all efforts of the test team in each of the STLC phase as well as monitor the completion of each tasks against the time constraints which may involve projects involving Agent Desktop, Default Workflow and/or Documents and Letters), particularly
    • Review of high-level requirements as defined in the Business Requirements Document (BRD)
    • Review of detailed specifications as defined in the Functional Specifications Document (FSD)
    • Compliance to the Test Plan which will include but not limited to the Test Coverage (including entry and exit criteria), Test Strategy, Test Methods, Test Responsibilities
    • Compliance on peer review of testing deliverables
    • Assistance in the documentation and preparation of the test design, environment, resources, and preparation
    • Execution and documentation of the test scripts and defect logging and reporting
    • Validation of the accuracy of deliverables and system generated output in line with requirements
  • Participates in continuous process improvements and proactively support knowledge sharing
  • Provides all progress and issues of the tasks assigned during meetings
  • Works within schedule and performs activities of the tasks assigned given the level of effort, test environment requirements and set schedule
  • Escalates all issues and provides all status reporting on the progress of the testing efforts
  • Suggest solutions to issues and problems of the project
  • Participates in coaching sessions in terms of performance and individual development
  • Complies to the testing standards and checklists
  • Performs compliance of risk and control items, such as training, personal information and time tracking
  • Provide status update on project assignments via e-mail, workflow tools, and/or test management tools to supervisors and onshore business partners for assigned tasks

Knowledge and Experience
  • Computer Science/Information Technology related and/or related discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
