 JPMC's expanding Payment Processing Platform technology Team is actively seeking an Applications Development Lead to take on the challenge and opportunity to manage a development group focused on delivering the next generation of global systems based on latest technologies. The successful candidate will have a varied technology background with exposure to multiple technology languages and platforms. Developed applications with adherence to IT controls while meeting tight time lines to Market goals is critical.
 
Responsibilities:
 
•         Managing a large development team across multiple sites towards building new state of the art suite of applications
•         Participating in interviews and establishing individual and team goals on an annual basis and conducing employee performance calibrations as needed
•         Proficient in providing support and guidance to the development teams during all phases of the SDLC including application support
•         Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels
•         Providing high quality, cost effective services to clients within scope of responsibility 
•         Expertise in IT Controls and exposure to test driven development methodologies
 •         Demonstrate a strategic mindset while developing systemic solutions to meet business needs
 •         To help practically conceptualize, design and assist in the improvement of existing systems, the development of new systems and delivery of production architectures.
 •         To prototype and deliver working Proof of Concepts in order to demonstrate a technical ability to meet architecturally significant requirements - including non-functional requirements
 •         To provide guidance and mentoring to the build teams on an on-going basis and to act as a thought leader who can have a positive impact on how full-cycle software engineering is performed and drive the development efficiency
 •         To work with IT and business management to establish requirements and service levels for new and existing technology and systems.
 •         To provide consultancy and be a sounding board for new ideas from the business and IT managers.
 •         Act as evaluator for 3rd party tools and systems that may be adopted (to attend vendor demos, etc, and provide technical commentary).
 •         Participate in system reviews and code reviews
 •         To help validate the architecture roadmaps and technical strategies
•         Proactively drive efforts to reduce production costs and increase availability of the production platform against the agreed business drivers.
•         Assist in driving the implementation of Service Oriented Architecture by reuse of global systems, standards, components
•         Able to perform in-depth analysis (profiling, stress testing, code review, etc) of an application and determine its strengths, areas of improvements and critical issues
•         Encourages a culture wherein team peers can contribute new ideas and approaches, and challenge the status quo. Promote an "open source" culture.
•         Able to absorb complex or contradictory information and make balanced, rational decisions.
•         Understand technology risk and escalate to the wider management and architecture forums where appropriate
 •         Strong understanding of meta-data based architecture related principles

Key Skills:
·         12+ years of development experience with minimum bachelors degree in computer science or related stream

·         General Payments knowledge is highly desirable

·         Oracle 11G, SQL

·         Websphere MQ

·         Knowledge of source control systems, Subversion and/or Clearcase

·         Autosys /CA7

·         JAVA, J2EE ,Mule / Camel / Spring Integration / AngularJS

-       Angular JS

-       JavaScript es6

        Additional Technologies preferred: No SQL DB; STORM; KAFKA; Horton Works ; SOLAR

 

 

Qualifications

 

College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience

Typically requires 12 - 15 years of IT work experience
