J.P. It is also the entity which provides banking, trading, and brokerage and custody services to clients of the Global Wealth Management (GWM) in Asia. JPMIB is a UK bank and is regulated by the PRA and FCA; it operates out of its UK head office with branches in Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid and Milan. 

Our Team

The Global Investment Opportunities (GIO) Group seeks to provide sophisticated / trading oriented clients, typically ultra high net worth individual's advisors, with opportunistic, absolute return investment ideas and institutional level execution across asset classes through a team based approach. The team has approximately sixty-five members globally with wide-ranging expertise and experience across markets, asset classes and geographies. The Integrated team structure provides multiple points of contact for seamless coverage. The group has dedicated credit officers to offer customized borrowing solutions and fast turnaround times. The team provides market access around the clock through desks in New York, London, Geneva, Hong Kong and Singapore. This international presence provides global perspective with local market insight and access to extensive research, as well as the ability to provide local execution in all major markets across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen a portfolio of existing client relationships
  • Contribute to client acquisition activities, broadening the group's client network
  • Provide clients with regular market strategy and commentary
  • Provide clients with innovative solutions and investment / trade ideas
  • Execute trading and hedging strategies across multiple asset classes
  • Generate investment / trade ideas sharing both internally and externally
  • Strong preference for candidates with expertise across multiple asset classes including currencies and commodities,   fixed income, equity, derivatives and emerging markets with a strong interest in financial markets and strategy
  • Institutional capital markets coverage experience (sales, trading or structuring) with an emphasis on absolute   return focused clients

Requirements

 

  • Team player and self starter, highly motivated, ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong client management and sales skills
  • Proven track record of partnership and delivering on sales targets across partners
  • Additional foreign written and verbal language skills preferred
  • Bachelors degree required, MBA or CFA preferred
  • Communication style that will enhance credibility and create trust with clients; strong presentation skills
  • Superior analytical skills; strong computer skills
  • Ability to thrive in an internal culture that points to innovation, customer service, internal partnership and   entrepreneurship
  • Team player capable of working effectively with many business partners

PLEASE NOTE: ALL INTERNAL MOVES WILL NORMALLY TAKE PLACE ON THE SAME GRADE AND SAME SALARY. SALARIES ARE REVIEWED ANUALLY IN FEBRUARY. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE REGARDING TRANSFER ON CURRENT SALARY MAY INCLUDE A MOVE BETWEEN GEOGRAPHIC LOCATIONS.
