Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSi), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.
About the Team
Risk Technology Operate performs day to day production support and is primary point of contact for the Credit Risk and Market Risk businesses.
Job Description:
Applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day support of applications within scope to include; first point of contact for business users, communication and support activities, issue investigation, as well as working closely with other technology teams to resolve issues in a regionalized support model.  The majority of issues the candidate will work on deal with data related investigations based on values reported in application front ends and reports.  These investigations will then require database queries to further understand calculations or transformation of value being questioned by business users.
Role also requires working with users to configure and execute impact runs in order to provide analysis on different financial scenarios being requested to assess risk.
  • Ensure timely Monitoring and Resolving of User Queries.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. Eagerness to learn new things.
  • Strong focus on continual service improvement.  Continually analyze incoming requests and determine potential efficiencies.
  • Providing transparency to users on issue status on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with other Operate (BAU) teams and the application development teams in order to resolve issues being reported.
  • Extract metrics analysis using data from ticket tracking system and review trends being encountered in the environment.
  • Technical expertise on multiple application platforms is a plus.
  • Train on and understand changes being implemented across Market and Credit Risk application suite.
  • Contribute to centrally stored documentation on new issue resolution steps.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have 5 – 8 years experience in a Client Support environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL is a must, database/data investigation is frequently required.
  • Strong analytical, logical, technical and problem solving skills.
  • Must have worked in the area of Regulatory Reporting and should have clarity of basic concepts in Finance.
  • Good working knowledge of customer support principles and must be able to work well under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Technical as well as Functional proficiency in order to facilitate investigations between the business, various levels of support, and application development teams.
  • Strong interest in client interaction and possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    Preferred Skills:
  • College degree in related technical or business area, specialized training and/or equivalent work experience
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Good knowledge of investment banking and risk management practices.  Knowledge of fundamental credit and market risk concepts a plus.
  • Knowledge/past experience of RegPro (FRS), by WKFS, for Regulatory Reporting will be highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of UNIX is a plus.
