Position Summary


As the Event Marketing Associate, you will be part of the broader Marketing team, with a main focus on the strategic direction, content delivery and event management of client and franchise events for Australia. In this role, you will help translate J.P. Morgan’s strategic business and client engagement strategies into effective event marketing programs.


You will develop strategic event marketing plans and protocol, joining project work streams, developing content, driving evaluation and creating ad hoc reporting. You will support other team members on larger events as well as managing your own events. You will also support the business in efforts to enhance client engagement and relationships, create and drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain J.P. Morgan brand standard in all events.


Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Partnering with business stakeholders to identify, define, support, create content for and evaluate event marketing opportunities that support the strategic business agenda.
  • Providing support across J.P. Morgan franchise sponsorships as well as industry conferences and events, ensuring benefits are delivered, effectively leveraged and executed flawlessly (both proprietary and non-proprietary).
  • Organisation and end-to-end management of event elements including set-up, onsite support, supplier and vendor liaison.
  • Developing the strategic agenda and content for events, undertaking thorough research in support of the brief, supplier and venue liaison, production materials such as invitation, nametags, place cards, menu cards, seating, etc.
  • Managing clearly defined budgets to ensure cost efficiency, seeking relevant stakeholder approvals and leading post-event analysis, measurement and reporting.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Communications/Marketing/Event Management is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in marketing or event planning field in the financial or professional services sector.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability/flexibility to confidently manage an event on an end-to-end basis.
  • Proven ability to manage budget, and to stay within strict budget parameters.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across multiple business groups.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
  • Periodic travel within Australia and after-hours work may be required.
