A Business Manager at Associate Level in the GWM Technology group. The role of the business manager is to help to manage the day to day running of the team in terms of Headcount, Budgets, Strategy, Reporting and Communication. The role reports into the Lead Business Manager for GWM Technology, and is part of the AM Finance and Business Management team, supporting the CIO of GWM Technology.
The budget for GWM Solutions Technology is approximately $470 million with staff located in many locations around the globe, including New York, Glasgow, Bangalore and Hong Kong
The GWM Technology team has a number of CTOs (each of which has their own Business Manager) who report into the CIO of GWM Technology. This role will work, alongside the Lead Business Manager, with the different CTOs, their Business Managers, and where appropriate the CTO-1s covering the following responsibilities
To plan and execute an annual headcount forecast for GWM Technology
Define budget plans for and help teams define the business objectives and visions for our group. To work within the timelines and constraints of the budget planning cycle for Asset Management Technology. To help document and present back to the business proposed development plans.
To develop and maintain the GWM Technology 3 Year Technology Roadmap, and prepare Monthly and Quarterly updates to the AM Technology PMO team aligned to AM Technology CIO direction and vision. To document and maintain the GWM vision documentation, updating as vision is adapted to business demand and/or technology drivers changing delivery plans.
To help (create, improve, prepare) the GWM CIO with the appropriate governance and reporting mechanisms to the various Steering groups, Governance committees and to the GWM Operating Committee.
To manage the oversight of the temporary workforce (Consultant and Contract) from a financial and vendor management perspective ensuring costs are maintained, the ration of temporary to permanent workforce and individual temporary workforce requirements are satisfied.
To provide reporting on multiple frequency (Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly) for the group and aligned to the reporting requirements of the overall AM Technology group.
To manage the weekly global management meeting of the group and to define a rolling agenda as well as extra items of interest for the team.
To define all internal and external communications to the group, working with the AM wide technology communications group to ensure standards and style are maintained. To face off to the AM COO team and to liaise with the AM Technology communications group.
To work on ad-hoc projects for the CIO as and when they are required. Providing both CIO and CTO level of information in various forms (PowerPoint and Excel).
