CIB Operations – FICC Middle Office Change/Project Manager – Associate - Singapore

The FICC Middle Office Project Team is responsible for a multitude of projects spanning the below areas across Fixed Income, Macro rates, FX and Credit business lines:

  • Global strategic business-driven initiatives
  • New products or new business initiative reviews
  • Industry initiatives
  • Regulatory driven initiatives
  • Operational efficiency & automation initiatives

The candidate would be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the Business (Desk Heads, Global and Regional Business Managers) to understand their needs / priorities / issues
  • Initiating projects by defining scope, objectives and timeframes
  • Performing cost benefit analysis to propose optimum future process to the business
  • Being the voice of the business and facing-off to partners - technology, operations, legal, compliance, treasury and other support groups
  • Building and owning project deliverables: business case, plans, issues & risks
  • Building and running governance around the different initiatives: communication, escalation, resolution
  • Ultimately, successfully deliver own portfolio of initiatives

  • Excellent project management skills & a track record in delivering complex projects on behalf of Front Office / Operations / Technology
  • At least 3 years experience working in the change environment
  • Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
  • Previous experience in the Financial Services industry. Understanding of Fixed Income/Rates or Currencies business would be useful but not mandatory
  • Strong understanding of the end to end transaction lifecycle
  • Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives
  • A self motivated individual, able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team
