Department Summary:
The Sales Enablement Group is part of the Investor Services (IS) sales organisation, reporting to the Head of Sales. The group contributes to the Investor Services sales result by the creation and production of sales collateral (proposals & pitchbooks) and the management & delivery of (information) assets to the selling organization. In doing so, the group works in close partnership with subject matter experts from areas including sales, marketing, client service, segment, product management, operations and pricing. The group is 42 people organised functionally across four teams - Proposals, Pitchbooks, Design, & Knowledge Management; and geographically across five countries - United States, United Kingdom, India, Philippines & Hong Kong.
The group’s core objective is to help the firm win business…by building the best sales & marketing collateral, in the shortest amount of time, with the smallest time involved from Sales, Product and other subject matter experts.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Global Pitchbooks Manager, the Pitchbooks Writer is accountable & responsible for the creation & production of Investor Services sales Pitchbooks in Americas. This is achieved as the local presences with a global team of Pitchbooks writers. The Pitchbooks Writer will work closely with his/her colleagues in the broader Global Pitchbooks team and in partnership with his/her colleagues in the Knowledge, Proposals, and Design teams.

On a daily basis, the Pitchbooks Writer is responsible for overall pitchbook planning & execution - and coordinating all pitchbook activities from organizing and directing the virtual team, controlling the pitchbook development process to preparing compliant, winning pitchbooks. Within this core objective, the Pitchbooks Writer is responsible for developing a strategic pitch document, translating requirements, sales themes and strategies into pages that meet the customers' needs as provided by the Sales or Relationship Executive. This requires ensuring that all pitchbook contributors adhere to the pitchbook development process and that the pitchbook speaks to the needs of the client. The Pitchbooks Writer will need to facilitate strong working relationships with senior partners in the firm across sales, service, markets, product, platform & technology.

As well as delivering sales Pitchbooks, the Pitchbook Writer is expected to contribute to the constant improvement and reengineering of the execution model and process. Within the strategic framework of the Sales Enablement Group, and in partnership with the Pitchbooks team - the Pitchbooks Writer is expected to conceive, escalate and execute constant development to the methodologies and product of pitchbooks – including quantum leaps in content, layouts, packaging & electronic delivery mechanisms.

Key Accountabilities/ Major Responsibilities:
 Create best in class pitchbooks for Americas
 Project management of multiple documents with tight deadlines (local, regional and global)
 Adherence to SOPs, driving improvements to end project results with a focus on understanding of global / regional nuances
 Manage and monitor his/her own workload to ensure that all internal/external deadlines are met
 Manage pitchbook documents - developing and executing excellence in written pitch communications for stakeholders over a geographically dispersed region
 Building and maintaining relationships with internal clients over widespread geographic region, understanding cultural nuances both of team and stakeholders
 Work in partnership with Proposals, Knowledge, Design, including effective engagement and communication to ensure execution of group strategy
 Behave and operate at all times as a leader in the business. Represent the best interests of Investor Services Sales and the Sales Enablement Group as your first goal in any interaction.
 Participate in the maintenance of the team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) document, detailing step-by-step processes for BAU activities. Continually seek ways to improve processes and implement improvements/changes.
 Act as point of escalation for queries and issues within the team, resolving them directly wherever possible
 Further refine process, systems and methodologies to improve the quality of work completed by the Pitchbooks Team.
 Escalate problems and issues appropriately for resolution in advance of project deadlines.
 Evaluate pitchbook processes against firm and industry standards to ensure that JPM’s product is competitive.
 Ensure all materials are accessed via the knowledge-base within confines of SOPs and continually work with stakeholders, contributors and the Knowledge team to gather, maintain and deliver accurate, compliant and up-to-date materials.

General Knowledge and Experience Required:


 Five or more years experience in sales, proposals, sales support, Pitchbooks and/or business writing/communications or marketing
 Experience in writing sales documents, understanding importance of key messages and USPs
 Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate a team - must have experience leading remote teams across multiple locations including experience and ability to work across regional cultural nuances (eg. language or cultural considerations)
 High level of competence working effectively with senior and middle managers - to gain cooperation and collaboration for high-profile business opportunities.
 Strong knowledge of financial services and securities industry and/or similar experience
 Thorough understanding of bidding/procurement requirements and process
 A proven ability to engage stakeholders from across the business, and form effective working relationships; requires strong communication and relationship building skills
 Ability to work well and effectively under pressure and tight deadlines and managing multiple projects
 Ability to provide effective oversight and management of multiple projects, and meet multiple deadlines; to travel and work overtime as required, during critical phases of projects.
 Strong problem-solving skills, ability to implement process change and quality controls
 Strong organisation skills, project management skills and the ability to continually re-assess priorities
 Excellent written English with strong business writing essential
 Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required
 Experience using centralized content management system


Formal Qualifications:


 Bachelors degree, work in finance or marketing preferred
