Position Summary

Investment Banking is the first point of contact for most clients, who include multinational corporations, governments, financial institutions, private equity firms and institutional investors. Often, members of the deal team interact on a daily basis with the client’s CEO and CFO, providing advice on the entire spectrum of JPMorgan products. That means offering the right solution at the right time, always putting the client’s needs first.

Our Investment Banking groups are organized to provide either product, sector or country expertise to our clients. These teams collaborate to provide a variety of products to clients in each sector. The team members become experts in their product, sector or country.

As an Analyst in Investment Banking, you will work with top-tier professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. We have opportunities within the following groups:

Corporate Finance Industry Coverage:
Within industry groups based in London, you will work as part of a team on projects involving various financial products, but you will focus on servicing clients within an industry or region. Groups may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Consumer/Healthcare/Retail (CHR)
· Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
· Diversified Industrials and Real Assets (DIRA)
· Natural Resources (NRG)
· Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT)

Local Offices:
If you join one of our local office teams, you will focus on the purchase, sale and merger of public or private companies. You may also find yourself involved in many other kinds of transactions, including de-mergers, joint ventures and strategic reviews. The teams are based in London and the respective countries and include:

· UK (in JPMorgan Cazenove)
· Nordic
· Benelux
· France
· Iberia
· German/Austrian/Swiss
· Italy
· UAE
· Russia
Product groups
Product groups execute transactions across a variety of industries, but they specialize in a particular financial instrument. Groups may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Acquisition Leveraged Finance
· Debt Capital Markets
· Equity Capital Markets
· Ratings Advisory

Key responsibilities
As an Investment Banking Analyst, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
· Building and using financial models
· Performing financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses
· Preparing presentation materials and participating in deal pitches
· Liaising with other J.P. Morgan Investment teams
· Conducting industry and product research
· Structuring and execution of transactions (eg M&A / ECM / DCM)

Qualifications
· Prior experience within a Investment Banking environment
· Outstanding financial analysis
· Confident and clear communication skills
· In-depth understanding of investment banking products is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent
· Strong team player
· Proficient in MS office applications
