Infrastructure Finance and Advisory
The Infrastructure Finance and Advisory team is a new group that has a global mandate to further develop JPMorgan’s infrastructure business in developed and emerging markets. The group will advise clients on financing infrastructure projects and work with coverage, product and sales teams to develop and execute financing solutions for greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects across transportation, energy, utilities and social infrastructure sectors. The group is comprised of experts in project finance, bonds, loans, structured products and derivatives. By leveraging expertise across products, sectors and markets, the Infrastructure Finance and Advisory team integrates and customizes offerings and solutions to help our clients meet their strategic, financial and risk management objectives. The team partners closely with coverage bankers and product specialists across J.P. Morgan to assist clients with developing financing solutions. 
Job Description 
  • Develop financial models and complete financial analyses for infrastructure projects across all sectors
  • Work with senior bankers in structuring financial products, including bank loans, bonds, derivatives and structured products
  • Support senior bankers with the origination and execution of solutions across all products, including the negotiation of transaction documentation
  • Work on drafting financing proposals, investor materials, road show marketing materials, pitch books and other marketing materials
  • Assist in completing transaction due diligence
  • Work with J.P. Morgan credit risk team to review transactions in connection with credit risk and other approval processes
  • Assist in drafting rating agency presentations
  • Support senior bankers in answering investor and rating agency inquiries
  • Conduct industry and company research to identify new opportunities 
  • Investment banking experience required, preferably with project/structured finance experience
  • Bachelors Degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, economics or a related field
  • Must have previous experience in financial modeling/analysis and in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong credit skills and understanding of other products including, Rates, FX and structured products
  • Must be a self starter and proactive  by taking initiative and anticipating deal team needs
  • Willingness to work hard and be a team player. We work closely with partners in banking, capital markets, credit, and various product groups including FX and Rates, as well as our partners across the control functions
  • An ability to juggle deliverables for long-term transactions as well as a busy day-to-day schedule

The ideal candidate is a creative, innovative team player.  It is critical that the Analyst/Associate be able to relate well to client counterparts and develop good working relationships with these individuals.  It is also important that this person display maturity, good judgment and an ability to work with professionals at all levels inside J.P. Morgan.  Strong analytical, technical problem solving, planning and organizational skills are a must.  These abilities are necessary on an individual level as this person directs other project members.
It is expected that the Analyst/Associate demonstrate leadership qualities that are team-oriented, fostering and collegial.  The ability to delegate effectively and pay attention to detail while maintaining a high level of productivity will be important.
The Analyst/Associate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations; expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner.
