Our business

The main purpose of Equity Research is to provide advice to institutional investors about the shares they should buy or sell to make profits for their clients, and we work closely with colleagues in Equity cash sales, cash sales trading and trading to do this. Our strong research franchise with institutional investors, the market insights we develop, and the close relationships we establish with the companies we cover are also very valuable to internal clients such as IB, Derivatives, Credit & Rates, and Private Equity.
 
Brief
 
The candidate will have a proven track-record in conference 1-1 scheduling within an investment bank. They will also have some experience in arranging bespoke investor trips for institutional investors.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Event origination
  • Work with the Corporate Access, Research and Specialist Sales Teams for the planning and execution of J.P. Morgan’s conferences in EMEA.  Suggest or advise, where appropriate, ideas for event format that may not have been considered by the conference hosts.
  • Liaising with the event planner
  • Help prepare marketing materials to promote J.P. Morgan’s conference calendar and individual conferences both internal and externally
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with IB, ECM, Equity and Credit Research and the Events team.
  • Scheduling
  • Planning and execution of EMEA conference 1-1 programmes
  • Liaising with Presenting companies to establish any meeting priorities, and working with Sales and Specialist sales to ensure appropriate meeting allocations for each event
  • Provide post conference statistics, historical data and other reporting as necessary
  • Working with global colleagues and working groups to ensure best practices are established and maintained
  • Bespoke Investor Trips
  • Working with Sales to arrange bespoke investor trips in Europe and potentially international trips also.
  • When required, suggest or advise meeting targets based on any criteria provided by the investor or sales

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong logistics and organisational skills essential
  • Ability to establish and maintain good internal and external client relationships at all levels
  • Attention to detail and good accuracy with strong data management and analysis skills
  • Sound problem solving skills and ability to innovate and improve internal processes
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to drive their own workload and multi-task efficiently, but must also be able to work as part of a team
  • Good leadership skills
  • Flexible attitude to working hours
  • Ideally FCA approved/Series 7 or equivalent
  • Experience of working within Investment Banking is vital
  • Background in event planning and corporate access is key to this role
